Just curious how you could have a Wu-Latino album with out the original Wu-Latino, Dom Pachino AKA PR Terrorist. Was he not available at the time? Is he not a part of Wu-Latino? If not, why not? Do you know what he thinks of Wu-Latino?

Dom Pachino is not a Latin Hip Hop/Urban Latino/Reggaeton artist. Furthermore he is not an artist struggling for a deal, a break, or exposure, so why would he need us??? If Dom Pachino is interested in signing with Wu Latino I'm sure he knows who to get ahold of, but as a member of Killarmy, why would he want to sign??? He is not "the original Wu-Latino", he is a Wu Tang affiliate who happens to be latino.Quote:

To answer your question- The Rza, the founder of the WU Tang Clan, and a friend of his, Raymond Acosta- former VP at UBO records, spoke about doing a joint venture label. It would be funded by the Rza and his brother Divine, and it would be run by Acosta, aka Rayroq. The Rza wanted to do something within the Latino community, and Ray had experience with a mainly latino record company. They decided the name would be Wu Tang Latino.
To sell records? Why else would you form a record label?
Why would it sound like Wu Tang? It's not Rza, Gza, Meth, UGod, ODB, Rae, MK, Ghost, and Inspectah Deck... nobody does and nobody "should" sound like them. Not only that- but the music is primarily in a different language. NOT ONLY THAT but it's a RECORD LABEL not a rap group!
^^ i hear what your saying Mangani and i agree with you.... BUT (notice the big but) there should be an artist that can relate that "Wu-Tang" sound. After all it is WU-TANG LATINO. They should have some real bloody wu-style talent which have a similar effect as a solo member from the clan to carry the torch on the latino side of things. (not discrediting you or wu-latino as it stands, you guys are great artists)

-The truth is the A&R's are non-existent, the President is a dumbass who loves commercial shit and is money hungry, the Executive VP is an African-American with barely an ear for Hip Hop, let alone Latin Hip Hop and doesn't speak a lick of Spanish, and the only Puerto Rican on the staff- the VP of Operations- doesn't know his ass from a whole in the ground when it comes to Latin Hip Hop (read the "first wu latino" thread that Skampoe posted about Mexicano... this nigga been around for ever and the VP of Ops had the nerve to ask me who he was... that's like asking Nas who Kurtis Blow is). Wu Tang Latino is run by people who don't love and respect Wu Tang, and it is reflected in their choice of artists. I was basically forced on them by elements within the staff who kept saying they needed some street representation, and the President's relationship with my brother led him to listen to my music- which convinced him to sign me. We can only do so much, but fighting commercialism amongst the greedy and ignorant is like trying to hold back a tidal wave with a fuckin umbrella...
