When 23-year-old Allen Hall calls dibs on his cookies, he means it. Like, touch ‘em and he might try to kill you. Literally.

The Decatur, IL man is being accused of attempted murder for trying to strangle his female roommate after she dipped into his cookie stash.

According to police, Hall threatened to kill his 49-year-old roomie upon learning that she ate three of his Chips Ahoy cookies for breakfast. At first, the woman “thought Hall was joking, but then attempted to strangle her in a bathtub.”

According to the victim, Hall started pounding on the bathroom door, threatening to kill her. Because she didn’t take his threats seriously, she opened the door and said, “If you are going to kill me then go ahead.”

Police reports say Allen proceeded to “[grab] her around the throat with both of his hands and [throw] her down into the tub.” Hall then got on top of her “and strangled her to the point she could not speak and was having difficulty breathing.”

The victim’s husband and landlady “had to pull Allen off of her” to save her life.

Hall charged with attempted murder and aggravated domestic battery.He remains in jail with his bail set at $75,000.
