I thought Steven Gerrard deserved world footballer of the year, given that he practically won Liverpool the champions league, and is arguably the best midfielder in the world right now. Ronaldinho is immensely gifted, mind you. My personal favourite in world football though, is Francesco Totti, that guy's amazing. He has all the qualities Roberto Baggio had, only with a worse temper, perhaps the only thing that's held him back from being the best. Still, Italy will have a good world cup with him on fire and Toni getting himself a golden boot.
