Anybody Know How Teddy Pendergrass Got In A Car Accident?

I never read a article about it but i did hear a rumor that he had a transvestite with him in the car when the accident happened LOL. I heard he ran into a tree. What a shame because he's a legendary r&b singer. I was listening to some albums he did with Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes today. Did ya'll know Harold Melvin And The Blue Notes are still doing concerts? I saw a commercial today with them and some other 70's r&b groups that are gonna have a concert in Cleveland soon. I don't know why they're still performing because without Teddy P, they suck LOL. Harold Melvin is dead too so it doesn't make sense to me for them to still be performing.
