It's when artists decided to "take it back to the old school"- returned to the Antic style, did it like the ancient Greeks

anyways, the renassiance is the period that ended the dark ages. Rome fell well before that and europe declined into poverty, plagues, barbarianism and warfare. Im sure you fairly aware with it, it's the prior with the kings and castles and kings and shit fairy tales and shit
the church also took over and controlled everything
the renassaince was europes rise out of the dark ages, people begun to look at science as opposed to religion, place a value on human life, and art become more realistically based and detailed with dimensions and shit.
through the whole dark ages with was about 800 plus years the only thing that had been invented in europe was tay harness for horses and the horse shoe, after the renassiance and during it ppl became more scientific and there was an explosion of new ideas as well as duh church falling off dude to the rise of secularism and protestantism.
they also "took it back to the old school" like what the other guy said, and started reviving greek and roman ideals, culture, science, philosophy, and whores.
lol thanks TSA... yeah i should pay more attention in class, but i only stay in school so dat i can study chemistry and biology. history isn't very interesting for me but i don't want to get too bad marks in it.

Don im dissapointed. You should know this like you know the ninja ways. Renaissance started when the old ways were finally gone. like Roman influence on the world was finally destroyed. Don we turks did it man. 1453, the ottoman turks destroyed the last element of Roman history. with that the renaissance started.

Yeah this should really be in the KTL section.
The Roman Empire fell apart because of constant attacks from barbarians (huns, saxons, basically what's north of modern Italy), and the fall of the Roman Empire (Fall of Constantinople) marked the beginning of the Middle Ages, but of course the Turks played an important role as they put the finishing touches on defeating the empire by taking ConstantinopleQuote:
