Do you have respect and admiration for the police force?

That thread about the dog dying got me thinking. Have any of you got respect for the police? I know hip-hip, since NWA, has made it cool not to like the cops and have a 'fuck you' attitude towards them, but is hatred towards the police force justified? Im talking about individuals, coz obviously theres decent cops who work their ass off, only to have the crooked ones destroy their name, but thats another story, but im talking about the police force in its entirity.

I have a strong dislike for the police force, but thats from my experiences with them, not from whats cool. They've bet me senseless, for just being drunk and a little rowdy numerous times, nabbed me up in court for anything they possibly can, and complety abused their power. When i got in a fight and stabbed, i was the one in court, they never got the fellas who stabbed me, so they brought me to court to make up numbers.

In my area, the police have certain targets to meet, and since the drug lords, and gang murders are way ahead of them, they make up numbers by taking people to court, and possibly putting them in jail for minor offences, just to make themselves look good.

And when my brother was attacked and savagly beaten, it took them two years TWO YEARS to actually do anything, when they've had me up in court for lesser offences in a week. Fuck them.


Do the respect the police force?

Do you call them when a crime has been commmited?

Do you call them when someone wrongs you instead of taking matters into your own hands?

Are you happy with the way they conduct their business?


Ive a feeling most peoples answers to those questions are no.

They complaign about people not ringing them when a crime has been commited. If you get into a drunken fight (which is competly not your fault, someone attacked you and your defending yourself) and you get stabbed or whatever, the cops will take YOU to court, for been drunk, maybe for loitoring, assault, using threating or abusive behaviour, along with the guy who attacked you! Its fucked up.

In Melbourne I was drinking with a girl. Been a cop for about 2 weeks, fresh out of the academy, used to smoke weed, sell weed, cleaned her act up.

They chuck her in the most dangerous areas with a bitch made partner. Never complained once about it though.

All these "gangsta" cunts saying they're tough would shit themselves in a cop uniform. Thats the TROOF.

Not all cops though, they generally don't like me and the feeling is fucking mutual.

^^Yeah thats why i was saying the police force in general, coz no doubt there is some decent cops. But whoevers in charge or running things, is really making a fuck up and there allowed do so.

No. It saddens me to say it though, cos they're exactly the people you're supposed to have respect and admiration for (which makes it worse).

I'm sure there are some great cops out there doing good work as Methods mentioned, but as a complete overall force I can't say I respect them.

A tiny petty example of the way they act is that I got arrested a little while back for possession of about a third of a joint (as in a rolled joint that I'd smoked two thirds of already). I was stopped by three plain clothes cops, taken to the station, searched, put in a cell, interviewed and generally had my time wasted for about 4 hours. When I asked why three plain clothes cops were spending hours with one guy who only had the end of a joint on him rather than the rapists and murderers and real criminals, they basically told me that it was cos they didn't have enough arrests that week. Now we know about the huge things that the police do wrong (the criminal, discriminatory, corrupt shit), but this is an example of the petty stupid shit that happens every single day by a huge percentage of the force.

i have respect for a select few who actually do their job as cops. but honestly most of the cops in my city are fucking jerks. just a bunch a fuckers that abuse the power they have...when i was 14 a cop talked shit to me and my cousin for not wearing a helmet while riding my bike. he spent at least 45 min harassing us, when he coulda been preventing a crack deal or pulling over a drunk driver or something more important than a kid on a bike with no fucking helmet. when i was 16 i was in a house raid and slammed down to the ground, with a gun to my head. cuffs and all. shit got real, real quick. one of the most craziest situations ive ever been in...ever since then i developed a disrespect toward the pigs. haha.

like my uncle bert always says "cops: theyre always around when you dont need em, and never around when you do."

i spend 9 years of my child hood getting and hiding from the system , imagine the psychological impact it had on me growing up long after the childhood .

I've been arrested 4 times for ONE crime, cause it was a cops son.

I had them drag me out of bed at night cause a mate had my bus concession on him, I wasn't even out that night. Mum told them. I was 14.

They pulled up out the front of my house and told my Gran I stole a bike when I didn't. Was 13.

They came and arrested my mum cause she had to appear in court over a traffic violation. She paid the fine, but you need to waste time in court as well apparently. Had to spent a night in lock up for NOTHING.

Went to my SCHOOL and dragged me outta class for "throwing an orange".

When I was 14 I was second most wanted at the police station, fucking 14! Cause I sold weed to friends. Stupid shit, what about rapists and murderers? I smoked weed ffs.

When my house got broken into.... they spent 5 minutes and fucked off. Never heard from them again.

I don't like them at ALL, there are ill cops though, and I respect the balls it takes to do the job. Power tripping cunts but imagine the shit they cop? Attitude is kinda understandable. I used to be a big smartass which didn't help, plus I was known by all cops in my old area (For next to nothing), but now I'm just friendly and most are chilled.

It's a bit of a catch 22, you can't say you completely hate them because that would make you hypocritical. The police force are a necessity in society that is set up to keep peace and order. It's so easy for people to criticise them for how they talk to you but you need to remember that they talk to people like you all day, people that are constantly challenging their authority and sometimes it's difficult to remain civil in such situations, I know what it's like because my job causes me to deal with the public in similar circumstances.

A guy jumped into my old back garden once (looking like he was running from the police or from some crime he'd just commited) from the park behind my house and came face to face with my mum. My dog chased the cunt through my house and out the front door. While this was going on my mum called the police they never bothered to show up or ask any real questions. Thankfully we could rely on the dog if not the police.

I have no respect for any cops! If the cop is a good person, they shouldn't have taken the job. Cops are habitual business butterinners who get payed for it. The "good" cops don't do anything to stop the "bad" cops from unfairly locking my people up, or killing them. So fuck them "good" cops. How someone could make a living helping lock people, or locking people up like animals is beyond me. The police are also the biggest, most dangerous gang in the country. That's right! Police WOULD be needed for things like rape, murders of innocents, and such if they weren't a completely crooked, arrogant, and flat out evil organization of ego-maniacs, but they are. So I wish all the most horrible things that can happen in life, and death, happen to them, and only them. Ok. I'm done.
