damn!!!!
thx !!
http://www.clique.tv/exclu/
how ill is that track "Felt"?? god damn that goes hard!
I don't know what i think about this album now!
i'm listening to it now.. i'm on track #4, so far i like all the songs except i'm not crazy about "40th Street Black" on first listen. but "Mistaken Identity" is real cool, U-God's verse on that is killer!
it's a very different album from "8 Diagrams", that's for sure!
"40th Street Black" yeah this track is very average !! i do not love it
I listen to the "miracle" bang bang !! i love it
^ yeah i'm on "Miracle" too, when it first came on i was like damn what is this long ass acapella singing but once the beat and INS verse kicks in it's definitely a strong track.
"Crushed Egos" was crazy too, overall i think this album goes hard but i can't form a definite opinion on one listen. the songs flow very well together so far, i can say that
Hold The Heater is also sick imo.
Raekwon is so on point on this album.. he's not on a lot of the songs, but every verse he slays - the one on "Miracle" is just wow
CRUSHED EGOS is a rae join w/ rza ahah
"pioneer the frontier" ... Yes!!!
I will repeat a complete listening tonight. but is best 8 diagrams
Think I'll like this album better than 8 Diagrams. Then again, I liked 8 Diagrams much more than most. I think many Wu fans will think it's far superior. Just hope the response to this album is good so they'll be motivated to do it again.
but I find that members are not together on the album. lack of energy
^ hmm, i didn't get that vibe at all... i'm very much a beat head though, so while i do pay attention to the lyrics they usually takes a few spins to really sink in. but on first listen i thought they sounded very much together so to speak whereas "8 Diagrams" (which i love, especially from a production stand point) feels the opposite in many ways.
tracks like "Miracle" and "Mistaken Identity" i think all the emcees sound very much on the same page. will listen through it again front-to-back later tonight, but i'm not dissapointed
Album bangs .....best since Wu Forever. Love how it's just Rae and rza on crushed egos lmao. You can tell who was down for this album from day one.....masta killa destroys ever track....so does U-God, Meth, and Cappa.....wish there was some more Rae but all his verses are flames....a bit disappointed with INS and Ghost. Preachers Daughter was ill! Really liked this first listen through. Definitely copping
Where did RZA used the sample that can be heard on "Mistaken Identity". I could've sworn I've heard it before
much much better than I was expecting.
album is dope front to back, shit sounds great
ain't felt the need to skip a single track, on 3rd listen now..
well done WuTang you finaly pulled it off!
Now for the Ghostface album and this winters music will be great!
I'm shocked from how dope is "Pioneer The Frontier".. a fuckin banger!!!
I'm loving Miracle, Mistaken Identity (is Streetlife on the hook there?), Necklace and ABT!
Solid album overall, well done!!
I'm at the 40th Street Black track, and I gotta to say I'm feeling the beat. Don't like the "We Will Fight" chorus, but I dig the rest. If you shit on this track I must be up for a treat for the rest...
Felt, Mistaken Identity, Hold the Heater, Crushed Egos, Miracle, Preachers Daughter, Pioneer the Frontier, Necklace, A Better Tomorrow, Never Let Go....all bang hard....and the other joints are cool....definitely at least a 4 out of 5 star album.....maybe even a 4.5 Time will tell
I should admit Bobby worked hard and gave his best. A good album and better than what I expected.
thanks for the link claaa.
bangers have been accumulated for future playlists from the first listen.
ruckus in b minor - dope song.. gza's verse stands out to me. possibly because of the beat switch but if i was to spark a blunt to this it would be during gza's verse and it would be a large intergalactic blunt
felt - might wear a polo sport hat real low. might give shifty looks to humans - this is a good thing
40th street - i like this song?? dope verses over a fast beat which is sort of rare from wu these days. fuck it, its 2014 i like it alot tbh
mistaken identity - this is my shit. weed will be smoked
crushed egos was definitely produced by adrian younge. sounds like he used the same sample (or simillar) from 'revenge is sweet' off 12 reasons to die. banger tho!
MIRACLE - arrives in bulletproof limo
preachers daughter - this is real cool and weed will be smoked
pioneer the frontier - some classic shit! WEED WILL BE SMOKED
weed will continue to be smoked throughout necklace
never let go is cool i like it
It's Tekitha on the track Preacher's Daughter, right? The background vocals.
pioneer the frontier and necklace are dope
wow. when "mistaken identity" finished, i stood up and clapped.
mistaken identity is good too crushed egos was cool overall not too sure tho
That Preachers Daughter shit is not making it to the ipod. The rest of it is dope though.
Miracle is genius with that Disney-esque chorus and atmospheric beat.
album leaked..
I just did the knowledge to the new Wu's "A Better Tomorrow" and after my first listen, my verdict is that it's a damn good album! Is it the best Wu Tang album ever conceived? Emphatically Now Cipher! B.U.T. it's definitely a strong product that adds on positively to the foundation. The only thing that I would switch up a bit is less Cappadonna and more MASTA KILLA! Live instrumentation fits the God perfectly. Meth, Deck, and U-God as well. I would give it a 8 out of 10. It should absolutely be supported. And with all of the strife within their house it's a "Miracle" that they can still put out something like this and make knowledge BORN!
This is the album that a group of grown men should make. Lyrics, Wisdom, Flow, Great Music, and Universal Inspiration. Like it or not, The Wu Tang Clan grew the fuck up!!!
and yo!
I WANT A NEW MASTA KILLA ALBUM RIGHT NOW!
I think cohesion among members is the absolute strenght of this album. Regardless of my overall opinion, I think that the members sound most 'together' on this project since 36 chambers.. im talking shame on a nigga cohesion.
After first listen:
Cohesion and lyrics are lacking throughout the album.
Cappa sucks on most tracks lyrically. I get excited when he comes on the track and then disappoints, with the exception of preachers daughter.
Raekwon saved the album. Not just by spitting with a great flow, and bringing his rhymes and energy but also because He is the reason why there are tracks like Necklace. He probably heard what was going in and said, this shit is corny, I'm not getting on it until we get some hard shit on here.
Ghostface sounds like Ghostface. Everything expected of him happened.
U-God struggled a bit. Not a better performance than 8 diagrams. He did kill Mistaken Identity.
Deck was good overall. The rhymes on Ruckus in B minor pissed me off with the tv show references. Good flow on the track though, and on most tracks.
Masta Killa impressed me the most after Raekwon. He sounds mysterious and his flow goes well on all of his appearances.
Method Man had great flows as usual, and not so stellar lines.
GZA put me to sleep. His best effort was Keep Wartch, but his rhymes sound lame. Space references the entire album made me feel like he readmhisnrhymes for dark matter and put them on here.
RZA had a lot of energy, and laced that joint with him and Raekwon. A lot of shouting and narrating seemed corny at times.
The beats were on and off. But for the most part very damn good. The live drums I have never been a fan of. Most of these beats remind me of the Legendary Weapons or the chambers album. 4th Disciple has two of my favorite beats on here. Mathematics also. RZA did well, but Cohesion was not there.
I didn't hate this project, but it could have been more special if they all made this album together and came up with great hooks, and songs.
Yea why does RZA insist on using that high pitch scream in his raps
This album also showed me that RZA still has it as a producer
Felt was strange on first listen 40 st whatever was a train wreck actually keep watch is good
