Dumb death smh. RIP
Always will be remembered.
This is really sad. I wish dude would have gotten his shit together. He was definitely one of my favorites when I was younger and even though I didn't rock with much of his later work, his first two albums are gems. At least now he will be reunited with Boomer. RIP Dark Man

He was in good form recently. I think they'll finish the album he was working on, it sounded like it was gonna be good.
Yeah, I wonder how complete it was at the time of his death and if he locked down those Griselda and Pop Smoke features. Hopefully if more work has to be done on it, they do it in his style like Sean Price's Imperius Rex.
It was all good just a week ago.
RIP

Every vehicle passing by here in Bronx right now is bumping D.M.X., those Def Jam executives are loving the revenue from these streams right now, it is going to keep their pockets good and fat for a good time, people still are bumping Nipsey Hu$$le two years after his death, so I know X is going to do the same.
Terrible news - grew up on DMX. R.I.P.
Sad news. RIP
Like most have stated here. I would say his first four albums, especially the first two hold a special place in hip hop history. I can recall when Get at me dog dropped and got decent buzz. Then Ruff ryders anthem followed and he blew up. Can't deny he was a king of hip hop circa 98/99, when rap music was dropping gems continusly. RIP Earl Simmons.
Yes, DMX will be missed. Very talented man in every way. People, including myself thought that he was clean. People are saying that his friends should've helped him with drug issues. DMX probably kept silent about it. It's sad that DMX had to pass away like this.
P.K. dropped a banger with that joint there
I read an interview online with Shok, who produced Slippin' that the Ruff Ryders C.E.O.'s let Swizz Beatz record the album with D.M.X. for a month before flying P.K., Dame Grease and himself out to Burbank, California to finish up the remainder of the album and there were only about five placements left. Shok later sued them over royalties he said they owed him and they kept giving him the runaround.
"Egypt doesn't even exist, I mean you don't hear DMX rap about it"
