iron flag or 8 diagrams?
i vote 8 diagrams...rza went coocoo for cocoa puffs on the beat selection, ghost didnt even rap on the ODB tribute track (which i think is REALLY fucked up) and thumbs down to all of them for not knockin some sense into the rza on the beats FOREAL, thats what let me down for the most part...it started off good cuz Campfire is actually a good track, but the rest of it was just sooooo boooooorrrriiiiiing....
personally I think "Iron Flag" was much worse but on the other hand I really liked "8 Diagrams" as an album...
Iron Flag is bottom Wu-Tang album for me, while 8 Diagrams is top notch along with 36 and Forever.Quote:

Ghost, GZA and Uey, like always, pretty much killed the album tho.
And now, ta-ta-tahhh, the grand finale - I like both albums more than The W. All three of these are disappointing in a way, but at least, they are still listenable and doper than most people think.
I guess I'm maybe the only one that thinks like that, .... but I rather enjoy what I can get than nag about trivial things or past greatness.....

hate to focus on the negative but 8D is worse, it doesnt even sound like a wu album, RZA got well experimental with it, it all jus lacks that thick layering of sound n shit.
it jus lacks on everything. RZA contradicted himself, what was it, rule of howevermany, if 4? brothers aint feelin it then he change direction....were all that negotiation when 8D was being recorded.
dont get me wrong its still a good album, i still listen to it in my car but no more than twice in a row, just cant do it.

radioactive and iron flag alone are better than every track on 8 diagrams with the exception of rushing elephants.
iron flag has legitimate bangers on it but unfortunately they're amomgst some really horseshit tracks(soul power, one of these days, chrome wheels, etc.)
8 diagrams is basically a flatliner through most of the album with a few moments here and there. not wack, but the opitome of an average, ho-hum album.
regardless, the last 3 wu albums are albums wu would probably like to have back.

8D was just boring...the rhymes were nice but rza's production was dull as a motherfucker...Rushing Elephants n that For My Riches track were great though, it had a few moments..

8 diagrams is the worst album i ever bought in my life. campfire was dope for a day then i realized it was a cheap wanna be rza beat with a really shitty donna verse that makes wu look as old as they are.
16th chamber was the SHIT, iller then the rest of the album combine, but wasn't on my version.
windmill and rushing elephants are average on anyone elses album (windmill above average to dope) but sSICKNESS compared to shitholes like unpredictable, sunlight, tar pit, starter, changes (it was a boring shithole undeserving of ODB)
on top of that it was a shitty album.
Ironflag wins, it sucks, but it doesn't suck so much you get mad cause there's listenable shit on there like Uzi (kills all of 8 diagrams alone), that box cutter goes CLICK CLICK song i can't remember and more.
^^^ LOL "Careful" is on The W.
AND let's be for real "Iron Flag" and "Uzi" are better than 8 Diagrams.

And since I keep my ipod on shuffle, I always find myself skipping 8D tracks.
i like iron flag more.....there r tacks on there that r still actually in my rotation in my ride..i dont even listen 2 any tracks off 8 diagrams on my headphones btw the beats by dre headphones are sick
