Is Skampoe the fat lightskin black man? Yeah it's sad that most poor blacks in the projects don't wanna leave. I see some of them now living in the suburbs because of section 8 because some of them are in my neighborhood and they're making the neighborhood go down. Section 8 is a bad idea to move ghetto poor blacks to the suburbs because when that happens, good people start to move out.

Hound, that's a very active program they put you on to get that unemployment check, with all of the references and the charitable work they have you doing.
People need to stop bitching about other people being unemployed and getting welfare money. It's not as if it's the kind of money you can celebrate with, moreover I'd estimate 90% of whoever is unemployed wants a job. I hope both of you get a job that you are happy with and which allows you enough money to live in satisfactory conditions.

There's a huge problem in Australia over people hating on unemployed and those on disability getting paid and people think we get a lot of money, we (unemployed anyway) get less in a fortnight than the minimum wage gets in a week. The media is really targeting benefits because our liberal government is all about the rich so next year those of us under 30 will be cut off for 6 months. So if I'm still unemployed next year I'm fucked.

I'm 27 now, I was 25 when I got laid off from my full time job I'd been there since I was 18, pretty much out of high school. I went and signed up for unemployment at 25 and I got it but almost immediately I landed a casual job so I was in the system and still had to update them of my finances but I wasn't getting any money from them until a few months ago when they laid a few of us casuals off because the work just wasn't there.Quote:

Yeah Ironman I was fired. Check Two, I don't know why the manager of the building wasn't satisfied with my work. The manager is a woman, that's what my Hispanic female supervisor told me. The manager is a idiot because you don't fire somebody after only 3 months. My previous cleaning job I had before that, I had been there 10 years and I rarely got any complaints about my work. I got a cleaning job today that's part time in the evening. I was glad I got it and it's not too far from where I live. I'm gonna get paid every week. Only thing I don't like about the job is the hours which are 6 to 10pm. I don't like getting off late. The job I just got fired from, I got off work at 9pm and most of the time I could leave early at 8:30 because my boss was never there. I'm gonna continue to look for another part time job in the evening that has earlier hours and I'm still gonna look for a full time job.
I just decided to apply for the job I got today because I didn't wanna be broke for too long. I won't be getting any money from the employment office until I have a interview with a deputy officer in about probably 4 weeks as to why I got fired from my last job. Then the deputy officer has to decide whether or not I can get unemployment money and if she decides I can still get money, then I will get some back pay from them which will be a lot of money if I can provide them with 2 job contacts.

Food For Thought, I knew you were gonna say something ignorant about me because you don't like me LOL. How am I a idiot? I got fired because the manager of the building didn't like my work and she's the one that's a idiot because you don't fire somebody after only being there 3 months. My supervisor told me the manager had a problem with me cleaning the glass entrance doors and she didn't like my vacuuming. Like I said at my previous cleaning job, I had been there 10 years and I hardly got any complaints about my work. So I know I can do the work. The manager of the building at my last job is just a picky bitch. There's this white man who worked in the building who's a psychiatrist and he told my supervisor that he would write a letter of recommendation for me to get another job because he said I was a good worker. So I'm happy somebody liked my work. He even asked me if I needed any money and I said no that's ok because I got paid last weekend. He gave me his phone number in case I needed help getting a job.
My bad, that was poorly worded from me. I mean learning in the sense that they put us in these programs to so called develop our skills and help us get jobs but really all they do is leave us to ourselves in a room with computers to do what? They just turn their back on us. I use the time to watch youtube all day and just watch documentaries on stuff in my personal life that I need educating on. I'm at what I call a very spiritual part of my life right now exploring my inner self and my relationship to the universe.Quote:

People just don't want to understand where somebody else is coming from so it's easier just to diss them and be on your way. But we have a society today that's all about the answers, you know those people they got an answer for everything but you talk to them and they have a question about nothing. I rather talk to people that have a lot of questions but no answers because it shows they're thinking, their mind is working. If you have an answer for everything but nothing to ask then chances are you're just memorising somebody else's thoughts and then what is the use in that?
Smart people, intelligent people are striving to be educated and taught something new everyday. You can differentiate between the two type of people almost immediately.

Well things didn't go well last night with my new job because I was given too much work to do. So I won't be there long I hope because I'm gonna look for another job. I had a good thing going with the job I just recently got fired from because I didn't have that much work to do and the hours and pay were better. I'm gonna call my old job Monday to see if they got any work in the evening or during the day and if they say yeah and the job isn't that far from where I live and the pay and hours are good, I'm gonna take the job. I hope my new job doesn't ask me to drive out to their office when I quit to turn in my uniform shirt because I'm gonna be mad if they say I gotta drive out there because their office is almost a hour from where I live.
I was lucky my car made it out to their office yesterday and I don't wanna take the risk of my car having trouble if I was to go out there again and I would have to pull over to the side of the road and wait for a tow truck to pick me up. It's starting to get close to the winter and I definitely don't wanna be stranded on the highway during the winter waiting on a tow truck. I gotta take my car to take a emissions test soon and I gotta take it there before December 24th and I hope my car passes because I need a few things fixed and I don't have the money to get my car fixed.
I really wish I could get my own place because I'm sick of my dad complaining about my life. He talked to me last night about my new job and he told me I need to stop getting part time cleaning jobs because they don't pay enough. He acts as if I like getting part time jobs instead of full time jobs. I can't force full time jobs to hire me. I just don't wanna be around him anymore and the bad thing I hate about applying for low income housing is that they take forever to call you to let you know if they got a place for you to live. I applied for low income housing for Maryland recently and I know it's gonna take forever for them to call me. I wish I could get my own apartment but I can't keep a job long enough and rent in this area is too expensive. If I could afford a apartment, I don't wanna be in a situation where I lose my job after a few years and then I end up homeless. At least if I lived in low income housing, I wouldn't have to pay that much for rent and I probably could get government assistance to pay for rent if I lost my job.
It makes me mad that I have a learning disability and that's preventing me from applying for good paying jobs because I'm afraid I can't do the work. I want a full time job that pays good and I would rather have that than get government money. I want people to know that I'm not lazy because I want a job. But how am I supposed to survive if I can't get a job? I have no choice but to get government money because I don't wanna be homeless and be without money.
Weren't you able to finish what they wanted you to do, cause they had given you too much work?
I'd rather be waiting for a tow truck to pick me up in the winter time than a hot ass humid day.
