So wouldn't it be more correct to say that Africans are the one's who have started the slave trade cuz they are the ones who decided to pay the Muslims with humans labor?

Also, why is the religious beliefs of the traders important in this instance?

Was the religion of the European man important when he decided to get involved in the slave trade?

Seems like the authors have a bias in the way he tells the stories. Propaganda maybe?

When the European man tells stories about people other than him, he does a very bad job by not being objective.

but the fact remains that the atlantic slave trade destroyed waaaaay much more in terms of culture and spirit. african slaves in africa were still connected with roots. but like i said all slavey is bad with the exception of white slaves.

but the issue we are dealing with and the reason we are even having this convo is because of the rippling effect the atlantic slave trade has on the diaspora today.

you cant call it islam and slavery. since when did the qu'ran endorse slavery. allah cant stop his subjects from taking slaves u kno. i mean when you create a thread about the euro slave trade do you name it "christianity and slavery".

no ones denying muslims took slaves, but it isnt recorded that any muslim empire loaded thousands onto crusty boats and drove them across an entire ocean and make them suffer for 300 years.

Yeah thats true, but the problem is that youre talking race now. And for example me, Im north european. And my country/nation/population (Suomi. Finland, next to russia) didnt have one single african slave on its soil thruout the history. We were pretty much a population of oppressed people thruout the history or just an nation of peasants trying to eat. And we had to fight for our independency during second world war. So what happens that im as affected by the propaganda as you are, in negative way. You understand my point of view? So just an european cant be resposible for the "sin" of ignorance in these times. And my problem is the people who put blame in me becos of my skin.

So, talking race or putting blame in race is not really a solution to the "truth problem" here.
