Yeah I totally aggree. Islam gives amazing rights to women. In my society it is very recent that women are treated as equals and now it is such that you are no longer able to differentiate between man and women.
In Islam the rights have always been there. it is accepted that women are different from men. This is why we dont have "equal rights". But Sharia is the law of God. ALlah created humans, he knows whats best. He made man strong. This is why man HAS to contribute his earnings to his family (or he is consdiered ot be sinful) if a women works, it is up to her whether she chooses to give any money to her family. It is also up to her if she chooses to do any housework. She cannot be forced to do any work. She must also "go out and seek knowledge". Education was considered for men only until recently in my society, but in islam men AND women should get an eduaction. They also have the right to vote. It is also acceped that out of men and women, women are the more beautiful and elagant . This is why a women should wear a hijab. So that her beauty does not captivate any man but her husband. But men are not allowed silk or gold. This is considered to be something only for women because of thei elegant nature. My teacher for ISlam is actually a women. She is teaching me to read arabic and pray and learn surah's. She is very happy. She speaks with such love and passion for her relgion and family and Allah and his messenger. She happily wears her Hijab. Muslim women should certainly not be oppressed if the teachings are folowed properly. Unless your from England or the US where a women is considered to be oppressed if she is not permitted to show her breasts on TV for all men to see. But that women is someones daughter. And someones wife. And someones mother. I think the sharia is perfect law and I beolieve when I marry Inshallah, my wife will be very happy, even though our rights will be different.
