Lol @ ghost just using the sc2 name to get YOUR money, n then his fans defending him like 'we're just so grateful that you're putting out this new music FOR US', lololol.

lol calm down.
It's not bad. But it shouldn't be SC2. It's as forgettable as Ghostface Killahs. Songs are so short it feels like a mixtape.
the 1st track Iron Man is good. Like it every time I listen but literally forget it soon after. That's never happened before. It's just a lot of tracks are weirdly forgettable
4th Disciple is good but so short it's kind of a waste. It starts right in, almost cutting off his first word.
The Trial is a huge disappointment, pretty much a mess. Sticky did it MUCH better better over 20 years ago. Besides no Meth verse, Gza is his usual half asleep self but for some of it most of the beat cuts out. Bad decision.
Just weird uninspired choices and tracks. If it was something else cool, SC2 nah. And it didn't have to touch SC, just have a genuine effort. This aint it.
Someone should go beat ghost over the head with a copy of CL2 to show him how to make an acceptable sequel
This has to be one of GFK best mixtapes to date !!!!
It's definitely a decent mixtape. He didn't even TRY to make this collection of tracks SC2 tho. There is absolutely nothing here to make this compilation SC2.
It's plenty listenable, but nothing to bring the listener back. I doubt I'll play it more than 2 or 3 thymes.
S/o to Rza who was always transparent and kept us in the loop when he was about to capsize the Wu-Tang ship. Does Ghost have someone on payroll affirming all these lasagna-brained decisions? Mass appeal is promoting these Rae & Ghost duds like they’re quintessential Wu classics. People need to lose their jobs over this. Someone got paid to tell Ghost that ‘Set The Tone’ was a good idea. I could arrange a classic, well received by the fans album, standing on my fucking head at this point, for any general and/or affiliate.
It's all Wiggs fault !
Remember when everyone wanted ghost to exec produce a clan album? Hahahaha. These MFs shit all over RZA and his beats and management, then use the most generic plastic gangster beats you’ll ever hear, use AI in videos, use pseudo RZA beats made by someone else, or somehow manage to use beats that have already been used (metaphysics was used by action bronson, the dude ghost was shitting on for biting him). Its hilarious.
CL2 was the last release worthy of the Wu name and it was executive produced by….. RZA.

Sounds like more concept albums on the way after this. Wu Block and all that. So it was nice getting this official solo Ghost album now.
Shit with Pharoahe and Meth sounds wild though. lol
I was wondering what NasÂ’ motivation was behind this Legend Has It series.
Okay, Slick Rick hasn’t dropped an album in decades, and this one was co-produced by Idris Elba, so it has a more British/European tone.
Rae’s album is a solid 7/10 effort, but it won’t sell much, won’t get him more tour dates or anything like that.
Ghostface’s new album is basically a mixtape with leftover beats from the BDR and AK era—so, late-stage Def Jam Ghost. Some songs are poorly mixed. M.O.P., Conway, and Styles P sound rough here, but Ghost sounds awful. Compared to Rae and Slick Rick, not to mention Malice (who, like said above, still sounds like he’s in his twenties), Ghost is clearly tired. His voice is neglected and honestly painful to listen to.
Ghost gets Set The Tone and this and 2 singles with Nas. I know Nas is a Wu fan, and if it wasn’t for Mass Appeal Of Mics and Men would’ve never seen the light of day probably. But it’s still kind of strange.
Nice to hear 4th Disciple's beat on a mainstream(ish) album though.
Candyland with one old nice ghost verse and one new one. You can literally hear the fall off. His voice is gone.
CL2 was essentially a mixtape too. Real mix of quality and styles compiled over a period of many years, and not a single track would have fit on CL1 - but it's still a good project.
After a couple of listens, SC2 is similar. Doesn't have that sequel feel but probably the best / most interesting project Ghost has put out since like 2010 (way better than all those concept albums).
The MOP, Styles P and Conway are unnecessary and have no place on here, but whatever.
4th Disciple, Windows, Break Beats, Beat Box, Rap Kingpin (slightly reworked beat from the single), Soul Thang, Metaphysics and Candyland - all great.
CL2 was not a mixtape stop with the copium. CL2 is definitely the last good Wu album. I was a fan of Apollo Kids but that was more mixtape vibes. I agree with others, he shouldn't have named this SC2 I think people would have lower expectations and this would be received better. It’s definitely his best stuff in awhile but when you say SC2 a lot of expectations come with that and this doesn't meet them. This is way better than Set The Tone but that album was horrible. So it’s not hard to outdo that. I still laugh at the people on here who are still praying for them to rhyme over Rza and Wu Elements. They’ve made it clear that they’ve moved on from that. Plus those guys (Wu-Elements) have fell off too tall just don’t want to admit it. It’s all nostalgia.
And just like they have moved on from Wu Elements, they need to move on from trying to be relevant again in 2025, they all are over fifty years old now, that time is done for them. Just keep on doing what your day one, dedicated fan base wants.. That is why Griselda, Roc Marciano and Vinnie Paz are all thriving so well with the formula that Wu Tang established.. They are not trying to do whatever is hot at the moment, just catering to the core fan
Both projects with Adrian Younge are dope! Come on man. It doesn't get better than that. The album with Czarface as well. I'm still listening to SC2 right now. I'll give my opinion later. From what I've heard so far; Raekwon has dropped a better album. "The trial" sounds dope though. Good to hear GZA after so long.... RZA should have produced at least 3-4 tracks. Some of the beats are boring. Not wack but boring 😴
After the first listen I'm not impressed. I didn't get the feeling I got after listening to Raekwon's new project. Ghostface still has it lyrically but the biggest problem is the production. Why not use RZA, Bronze Nazareth, Arabian Knights, True Master and DJ Mathematics? Damn Ghost. I agree with some of ya'll; he should have called it something else. Raekwon's project is a 8.5/10 for me. SC2 is definitely a 5.5 or 6/10 at the most.
Does anyone have the official full production credits for this?
We know a few, the singles and obviously 4th Disciple. I know Chedda Bang did Iron Man track and I thought I heard Ghost shoutout RoadsArt on The Trial..
But I read somewhere that 7L had something on there. Can’t find anything official though
sooooo
do yall still believe he can exec prod an album better than the abbot? lol
Georgy Porgy is fucking amazing, it's like a modern 260.
You Ma Friend is also great...
LOL it should have been obvious to people over 25 years ago, they really can't.
The only real success anyone has had w/o Rza is Rae with SvW. That was a nice album with the Wu sound. Really underrated although it did pretty well when it came out.
Everything else? nah
Not sure what you guys are listenin to. Album is dope. I can see why he chose to call it SC2. Style, beats, flows and wordplay are 100% in a similar vein. Mixing needs some help tho.
4th disciple, windows, Georgy Pordgy, break beats, beat box, rap kingpin, into the trial and love me anymore wit nas then soul thang....shits banger after banger. My neck hurts.
It's not a classic like SC but I don't think anybody should've been expecting that.
I wish there was more general wu involvement. Beats and verses. Redman verse woulda been dope. I can hear Rza on break beats, MK on georgy pordgy, 100% Rae on 4th disciple, meth on more than 1 track, etc.
Albums too short and some features would've made it a better length. BUT it's a Ghostface solo album in 2025 so we got Ghost spittin over dope beats. I can definitely appreciate it
Fuck Ya Life
WU TANG
I like this album. It’s definitely better than the Raekwon album, which I also liked. He didn’t take it in the direction that I thought he would, but I’m impressed. It feels more like a mixture of BPW and Apollo Kids than a sequel to Supreme Clientele tho. It felt like a homage to 80s New York. I liked the fact that he put Lenny Green on there before the quiet storm track. The only thing that doesn’t fit is the 4th Disciple track. It sounds too old and doesn’t fit with the overall flow of the album.
I don’t get the negativity at all, but to each their own. It’s a good addition to Ghostface’s discography.
Exactly. I think the main issue here is the name of the album. If he would've called this shit "Golden Eagle on my Arm" or something like that this would be more received. SC2 so people will have way high expectations for a 55 year old rapper for some reason. It's nostalgia. I like it for what it is.
This whole thing has given me trust issues.
I gotta disagree. As far as I like Griselda, Rock Marciano and Vinnie Paz they're all followers to me while Wu paved their way and always been much higher in the hierarchy. The problem of the Wu is that they stopped caring about the music. They stopped developing as musicians and artists. There are rocks bands whose members are over 60, nearly 70 and they can still record decent or at times great albums. Wu members need to pick some heat beats that would be properly mixed and mastered and deliver some good verses. They should train their voices to keep them as good as possible but they haven't done it. The only person who really cared about the music from day one is RZA who's got ups and downs but he cared about the art.
I'ma write about the album when I've listened to it a few more times
Im not final on my thoughts yet
but lmao at how this thread fell apart into a hate fest before it dropped and instantaneous write off not even 24hrs
very… more fish / big doe rehab / late era def jam sounding. As i expected.
if you hated those. You will hate this. If you like those. Youll be able to enjoy most of this. I already stated those are like 3.5 mic GOOD albums. This is a return to that.
but if you think its cuban 2 style.. its not. That was the exception not the rule. The name seems to have made people think the past 15 years didnt exist and ghost eas gon pull a rabbit. Some of these are not even close to as bad as yall making it. But yall already admitted ya didnt like the def jam run so its kinda moot point.
this is a very runnable album. Its not cracking ghosts top 5. Maybe not even top 10. Bur acting like nothing on here is good is a wu corp classic. He aint 25-30 no more. Hes 50. It you are here to compare it to that era your already losing.
if ya enjoy any of gjosts recent albums since 2010, this is better than all of them at very least.
Apologies if already here but didnt see link to listen to full album when scanned thru. Didnt read comments of last few pages as want to listen to album 1st...
This should be full album for yall to hear. Support w physical and or online to show love if you feel it! SUUUUUUUUU

There's actually absolutely no reason at all that it should be harder to make memorable hip hop when you're in ur 50s. I don't think anybody who uses that excuse actually thinks about it. Yeah you're less likely to have the drive n passion for it, but then don't even bother. Most people don't. But as far as ability goes, there's absolutely no reason age should be any kind of deterrent to making outstanding hip hop.
He literally said Wu paved the way. But to be Honest Roc Marciano & Griselda is on a whole different wave. Roc started this new shit thats going on in the underground for the last 10+ years. Wu at that time was starting to follow trends. Ghost was making tracks with Ron Brows "She's a Killer". Raekwon has been trying to chase the Rick Ross sound. In the end only Rza knows how to get them right but the issue is Rza beats aren't that great anymore if we're keeping it real. Again, they've moved on from the Wu-Tang sound.
100
There was a bunch of different OG album titles. I specifically remember:
"Golden Eagle rockin Rainbow Sparkle Wallies"
"Luxuriously Supreme Iron Metallic Robe"
"Sprinkle Goose Fur Championship Belt"
"Dusted Mustard Jesus Pieces"
And my favorite: "STARKS-Sensational Tony Always Rhymin Killah Syllables"
You ma friend, right?
Roc Marciano is just trying to stay underground and it's cool but he's never really been famous as Ghost and Wu been in the past. Roc has his style and he's very good at it but that's it imho. His new album with Premier is boring to be honest (but the mixing is 10 times better than SC2).
name 1 classic hip hop by an old man…. You sayvthat as if it happens all the time when we know it doesnt 99.9% of the time as all we do is yearn for the og album for 30 years straight lol. We all thought 80s rappers were done by 90s. 90s by 2000s. Rappers avg like 3 years at most before falling off…
Yall hate the stuff when he was 30 40 50 , asking for the stuff when they 20 , then say that all nonchalant like 50 yr old mcs dropping gems left n right.
Not understanding hip hop is youth culture at its core and acting like it has no impact is a disconnect. hence the fresh crop of new mcs on every wu record.
Have to give it a more gold listen but its a good album so far. It all depends what you are expecting. For me I try to be neutral to everything new I listned to. At least its miles better than snoops album missionary. That album is really really bad.
Jay Z dropped a classic album 4:44 at 52, Pete Rock & Common dropped a dope-ass album a year ago and they're over 53 and 55 respectively. Nas been droppin hot shit for years now. I dont know why a 50 year old wouldn't be able to record a decent album. It's fuckin music and if you take it serisouly you can do it.
