^^Thanks I was trying to figure out where that came from.
Well done... I had forgotten where I found it.. the hardest one to find on me is the Blazing Saddles one because it doesnt have an artist name I seem to remember. It was some musician band jam at the Mepmphis studios that was refound.
^ damn! That would be great if you could send the sample if you still have it but I guess you won't do it. The David Porter sample was well flipped, man
Does anyone know the sample for Almighty's think piece?
Ayo I think I found this. To me it sounds like Smith's "Baby it's You." https://youtu.be/pIGo31k-qkw
nope, it's not
ODB- Cuttin Headz
Raekwon's Glaciers of Ice samples Aguaturbia's Heart Breaker (link)
I didn't hear any glaciers of ice in that at all.
He means at 3.12... interesting.. not conviced yet, but it's close.
Yeah it sounds close but I don't think it's that
Doesn't it convince you a little more that the sample appears in the same key and pitch as the one used in Glaciers?
I'm convinced to the degree that someone somehow needs to disprove this claim for me to reconsider it. Im not saying that it's entirely impossible that this isn't the right track, but in my humble opinion, there isn't really anything about it that seems to suggest otherwise. Also, Rza was sampling this kind of genre at the time (eg. Frank Zappa in Cold World, Three Dog Night in Investigative Reports). What are the basis for your skepsis?
someone would need to manipulate the sample to match glaciers of ice for me to be convinced
Have it replayed by someone here and manipulated, like the guy who incredibly found the Tai Chi sample, that was masterfully found.. the key is similar indeed, but it's missing a gritty edge to it... I believe the glaciers sample is close to the As It Was Written sample if I'm not mistaken... could very well be from that genre I agree
To me, the Aguaturbia sample seems to match the tones of the El Michael's Affair cover moreso than the original. That might mean they're on to something, but I'm still not hearing it matching the original. Links can be made though in that the Aguaturbia song is a cover of Grand Funk Railroad's Heartbreaker which is easily recognizable as a sample RZA's used in a sample he produced for The Game:
<span style="background-color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pFrFtc1HhXg
and RZA's been known to recycle samples before...
Was "Sunz Of man- Messin with the real" known?

Ok, I got !
Man, this would be it! Fuck!
I'm sure since 4th Disciple used the same album to make the skit on Killarmy's debut
^ Cause it's a known fact that RZA and other shared the same recrods. There used to be a place called (I guess) Wu basement where they stored all the recrods and produced a lot of tracks. Thats why you can hear similar samples in RZA and 4th's beats

That one was known, but thanks Jammin'. I didn't know that Wisdom Body had been found, that was a treat.

Whooooooow!!!!! It's impossible what RZA did back in the days
A sample for 7th Chamber has been found. It's the same sample RZA used on Cuttin' Heads with ODB and the GZA's "Clan in the Front"
Here's the video of a guy who flipped the sample similar way the RZA did https://streamable.com/y4qj5
For the beginning of this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4uGBWAZFSYQ
did RZA sample/interpolate the beginning of this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VFsTr0kGAqU
It's very similar note-progression even though slowed and/or pitched down in RZA's beat and it's obviously replayed differently later in the Scientifik song, but I can't help thinking they're linked...
It's very likely. It's funny cause I have the Parners in Kryme 7" single and I sampled it long time ago but I never heard it

Wu-Tang 7th chamber original
