That is bullshit. Forever was different to 36 and W was different to both. No one ever complained.
SC sounded zero like Ironman.
It is about quality. If anything, Wu Tang fans have shown themselves to embrace change more than most.

Ruckus In B-Minor: solid opener. 7/10
"Felt": good one. 8/10
"40th Street Black/We Will Fight": I like this song regardless of wack chorus. Nice to hear scratch on a Wu record. 7/10
"Mistaken Identity": Totally overproduced. I don't like it that much. 6/10
"Hold The Heater": Nice. 8/10
"Crushed Egos": Good job Adrian. 8/10
"Keep Watch": Estrogen. 5/10
"Miracle": Aladin kinda ruins this song for me, but entire concept is superior to any Disney chorus so I'll go with 9/10
"Preacher's Daughter": Good interpolation of a classic record. Somewhere between Childs Play and Josephine. 8/10
"Pioneer The Frontier": Classic Wu RZA track, allthough he had few wack lines on there 8/10.
"Necklace": Classic 4th Disciple also. Sounds like a Killarmy beat from their prime. 9/10
"Ron' O Neal": Wack. 6/10
"A Better Tomorrow": Meh. 7/10
"Never Let Go": Filler song. 7/10
"Wu-Tang Reunion": Nice closer. 8/10.
Cappadona is a wack rapper and he needs a ghostwriter. Masta Killa owns the album IMO. Method Man shows that he's totally above everybody else delivery-wise. Ghostface and Raekwon were good, INS has his voice fixed. This is the most overproduced hiphop album I've heard in my time, but I'm thankful to RZA and poor members of Wu-Tang for delivering. Raekwon will drop another generic album in his search for wider audience and we'll hear GFK's new album very soon. RZA has courage to think out of box like he did 20+ years ago. I don't know nothing about their bussiness, but they kinda reestablished themselves with boombotix thing and OUTIS. I will buy ABT and support it.
Overall 7.4/10
Would have been a welcome addition for sure but I don't think anyone realistically expected him to pop up on this album. Maybe some of us did get our hopes up when INS, Ghost & Rae were featured on PWOWR, but Priest on this album was always going to be a long shot.
Judging by the response to this album from the majority of people on hip-hop forums around the internet, this is it guys. Last Wu album. Most people calling the album complete garbage.
as much as RZA strives to keep the Wu name alive, he's been doing a good job at tarnishing the name at the same time with some shitty albums the past 10 years
iron flag and 8 diagrams are completely forgettable to me, I don't even keep em on my iphone and 80% of my iphone is wu-tang music
I expected them to at least be above average, I don't think that's too much to ask for the greatest hip hop group when many of the members still release good music - I still play Selling My Soul regularly, I know every album doesn't have to be classic
I haven't heard ABT in full yet, but the first three singles were no improvement
I know....but no I'm waiting for the whole album
Im jussayin so far the reviews aren't good, and what I've heard isn't good
Necklace is probably dope due to 4th disciple because he never lost it. I said from the start he should've just produced the whole thing
Honestly....the 3 singles are my least favorite tracks.......
Inspectah Deck is the MVP for me on this album. His verse on Miracle, Ruckus in B Minor and Pioneer The Frontier, Keep Watch and Ron O Neil are stellar. Method Man was my 2nd favourite on the album. He killed a better tomorrow. They brought their A Game in my opinion. I love the album overall. I give it a 8.5/9 out of 10. It's a mature album with great production. Only gripe the album could of had more GZA on it and I'm still pissed off with the way Rae and Ghost act all difficult towards doing Caln albums.
I'm surprised so many people on this site didn't like Iron Flags. Had some Wu Bangers on it-Iron Flag, Babies, Uzi, In The Hood, Rules, Y'all Been Warned, Back In The Game.
Mistaken Identity - Written by E. Turner, J. Hunter, R. Diggs, P. Charles, L. Hawkins, C. Smith
Yes streetlife is there doing the chorus
i wouldn't pay much attention to what those other forum guys say, i've been reading a lot fo comments saying Wu is too old, etc. it's basically a lot of young guys that dig Maybach Music, ASAP Rocky, Kendrick Lamar (no diss, i love Kendrick's stuff), etc.
as someone pointed out, "Wu-Tang Forever" was universally hated pretty much, despite it selling so much but the general consensus was that the Wu had fallen off hard. this is an album that will grow.. a whole lot better than "Legendary Weapons" and "Chamber Music". it's definitely better than "Iron Flag" too, though it has many similarities with it, it's a bit like "Iron Flag" if that wasn't rushed to death. on the few listens i had i think the production on "8 Diagrams" is better but that's no suprise since i absolutely love that album... lyrically this is the stronger LP tho.. if this is the Wu's final album, they went out on a great note!
