I disagree with Southern Europe's protest.
But if it helps us get closer to the point of no return where it is easier to create a different society than stick to the old one, I'm all for it. Even though we will probably fuck that up royally.
Do you mean italian protests? thats southern europe? :S
What is there to disagree about? ever since the P2 Lodge scandal, italian society has been aware of the dishonesty / crimes perpetuated and given teh approval of berlusconi ...
most of the 'advanced' nations of the world, they're people have to get to the point of no return, thats the way we will create a new society, even if its fucked up royally. it will still be fairer and moar just than our current system.. lol

Why are they against nuclear power exactly? Isn't it, when managed properly the cleanest & most efficient power source?
I'm against the spanish & greek protests because they have a crippling debt that needs to be paid. There is no getting around that fact.
Im not against nuclear power, i posted due to the protests occurring there,
they'res much cleaner ways of producing power... (free power, currently in desert areas;that are using reflective glass to trap the power of given off by the sun, i think saudia arabia and egypt are leading the way with this.. even germany have switched from nuclear power to a more renewable source of energy.. they have plans to be fully self sufficient by 2025)
on a related note http://empowured.com/time-to-free-energy/
the sun produces enoug energy every minute (thats hits the earth) to provide enough power for the whole planet,
the corporations that be, do not want to utalise that energy.. as they wont make CASH/profit... tesla had many patents for free energy.. but they are all owned by general electric now, from the research ive done on ancient cultures.. the items(elements/minerals) they chose to build structures with,, they had an understanding of harnessing the nergy that is already around us in abundance...
your against teh spanish and greek protests? why?? they didnt cause the crash/debt, that was done by BOND holders, who hedged bets, sucked the economy dry, then they blamed the people of greece, even taking the greek people to the human rights court at the united nations..
how can the greeks or spanish pay (with austerity) that is imposed by technocrats? (those from the banking elite)
the reason for the debt is simple.. the bond holders/speculators..
they do legalised fraud.. i posted earlier today in another thread..
here is the quote :) i really recommend max keiser.. he used to work in wallstreet,,(made high frequency algorithms, which help the fraud) he knows the ins and outs of the fraud commited by the bankers/corporations.. that gets pushed into the public domain.. then normal folk has to pay..
when those elites need to be locked up.
if you dont want to watch any of them. just please watch this short clip
teh debt is bullshit, they're numbers on computer.. its all about credit..they;re isnt enough physical cash in the world, to pay off the debts..
cash is soley created through debt. the system is at fault.. but why change the system, when you can enslave nations (austerity)
people just need to understand how cash is created.. then you can see the fallacies in this debt/austerity..
the greek/spanish/irish/uk/american/etc debts where not run up by the public.
they was done by the elite. so the elite should have to pay.
every country should do what iceland has done..
Shieeeeiitttt, they look as tooled up as the police!

^^ its catching on. couple of local cases where i live, where people have set themselves on fire, due to austerity/no jobs/no benefits..
thanks for the video Bob.
unfortunately, i think this will be the norm in the coming months (giving the security services the pretense to come with more weaponry)
the people of the world have tried peaceful protests. but when the 'neautral public police officers' (read as corporate policey officers)
come dressed in full body armour, with live ammunition, and are prepared to use it, the masses have to up there defense capabilities

China cancels waste project after protests turn violent
http://s1.reutersmedia.net/resources...=CBRE86R0KVF00
QIDONG, China | Sat Jul 28, 2012 8:56am EDT
(Reuters) - Chinese officials canceled an industrial waste pipeline project on Saturday after anti-pollution demonstrators occupied a government office in eastern China, destroying computers and overturning cars.
The demonstration was the latest in a string of protests sparked by fears of environmental degradation and highlights the social tensions the government in Beijing faces as it approaches a leadership transition this year.
It was also the second cancellation of an industrial project this month, as officials buckle under pressure from protests.
Zhang Guohua, city mayor of the eastern China city of Nantong, said in a statement the city would terminate the planned pipeline that would have emptied waste water from a Japanese-owned paper factory into the sea near Qidong.
The decision came hours after about 1,000 protesters marched through the city of Qidong, about one hour north of Shanghai, shouting slogans against the pipeline.
"The government says the waste will not pollute the sea, but if that's true, then why don't they dump it into Yangtze River?" Lu Shuai, a 25-year-old protester who works in logistics, said while marching.
"It is because if they dump it into the river, it will have an impact on people in Shanghai and people in Shanghai will oppose it."
Several protesters entered the city government's main building where they smashed computers, overturned desks and threw documents out the windows to loud cheers from the crowd. Reuters witnessed five cars and one minibus being overturned.
At least two police officers were dragged into the crowd at the government office and punched and beaten enough to make them bleed.
Environmental worries have stoked calls for expanded rights for citizens and greater consultation in the tightly controlled one-party state.
The outpouring of public anger is emblematic of the rising discontent facing Chinese leaders, who are obsessed with maintaining stability and struggling to balance growth with rising public anger over environmental threats.
Such protests "suggest that the middle class, whose members seemed willing to accept in the 1990s that being able to buy more things equaled having a better life, is now wondering whether one's quality of life has improved, if you have to worry about breathing the air, drinking the water, and whether the food you're eating is safe," said Jeffrey Wasserstrom, of the University of California Irvine.
The protest followed similar demonstrations against projects the Sichuan town of Shifang earlier this month and in the cities of Dalian in the northeast and Haimen in southern Guangdong province in the past year.
"We are aware of the Shifang experience, and if it worked there then it may work here. We have a responsibility to protect our home," said one student who declined to be named because he said the government had threatened retribution against anyone who spoke to the media.
The leadership has vowed to clean up China's skies and waterways and increasingly tried to appear responsive to complaints about pollution. But environmental disputes pit citizens against local officials whose aim is to lure fresh investment and revenue into their areas.

Skirmishes continue between protesters and riot police in Madrid, with cops firing rubber bullets and tear gas at the crowd. Fourteen people have been injured and 22 arrested, local media report.
Riot Police belted protesters, dragging some them by the arms and legs, who had tried to get through police lines. An uneasy order was restored and police have brought in reinforcements and have begun to try and disperse the crowd
Spanish police have fired rubber bullets and baton-charged protesters attending a rally against austerity, according to reports.
The clashes occurred as protesters tried to tear down metal barriers blocking access to the parliament in Madrid.
The BBC's Tom Burridge visited the scene and said that the demonstration had "more of an edge" than previous protests.
He also described "an eerie feeling" on the streets of the Spanish capital, with the "police wary that this could have turned into something bigger".
'Democracy kidnapped!' Madrid police fire rubber bullets as thousands surround Spanish Congress
Madrid riot police have cleared Plaza de Neptune of protesters, with about 200 officers securing the surrounding blocks. At least 60 people have been injured and 26 arrested as police used batons and rubber bullets to disperse the crowd.
*Local emergency services have confirmed that at least 60 people, including eight policemen, were injured in clashes between police and protesters, El Pais reports. One of the wounded is believed to be in critical condition, while one of the injured policemen suffered a severe concussion.
Riot police dispersed the protesters, dragging some who had tried to get through police lines by their arms and legs. An uneasy order was restored and reinforcements were brought in to try and disperse the crowd.
Thirteen of those arrested have been detained after a group of protesters tried to break through the police barrier for the first time. Further arrests were carried out during the following clashes, bringing the total number of arrests to some 60, El Pais reported.
Authorities estimate that about 6,000 people took part in Tuesday's protest. Over 1,300 riot police officers were deployed in the capital, which is more than a half the country's riot police force.
Protests organizers have decided to repeat the protest and block the Parliament once again on Wednesday.
Thousands of activists have congregated in Madrid's Plaza de Neptune, 100 meters from the Congress building, to protest Spanish austerity measures.
The demonstrators pledged to march around the building, and called for new elections. Metal barriers have been placed around the building to block access from every possible direction.
Demonstrators waved banners with the slogan 'No' written on them, in reference to the austerity policies of the Spanish government.
Protesters said that today is a key day to level criticism against politicians and the Spanish government. The city stationed armored police vehicles bumper-to-bumper around the parliament building, and announced that around 1,300 police would be deployed to counter the protesters.
The organizers of the protest dubbed their movement 'Surround Congress,' and expressed hopes that thousands would turn out. The protestors called themselves 'indignants' and claimed that their democracy had been 'kidnapped,' calling for new elections and rallies against the austerity measures enacted by Mariano Rajoy's government.
Some 200 demonstrators gathered near the city's main railway station chanting "Rescue democracy," and "This is not a crisis, it's a swindle."
Carmen Rivero -- a 40-year old photographer who travelled overnight by bus from the southern city of Granada -- said, "We think this is an illegal government. We want the parliament to be dissolved, a referendum and a constituent assembly so that the people can have a say in everything."
Another 100 protesters were scattered across the city's main square, the Plaza de Espana.
"This is not a real democracy. This is a democracy kidnapped by the parties in collaboration with the economic powers and the people have no say in it," said Romula Barnares, a 40-year-old artist wearing sunglasses with a dollar sign on one lens and a euro sign on another.
Austerity has hit every Spanish family and caused people who had been core supporters of the public sphere out of the country, says Carlos Delclos, a sociologist at Pompeu Fabra University.
During a September 15 protest, waves of some 50,000 anti-austerity demonstrators converged in downtown Madrid, blowing whistles and hoisting banners that read, "They are destroying the country, we must stop them." Representatives from over 230 civic and professional organizations also turned out amid cries of "lies," and "enough."

Massive protests take over the streets in Georgia (the country) following the leak of a video showing prison guards raping inmates with a broom:

We sent a young Georgian photographer, Giorgi Nebieridze, down to the protests to see what's been going on and he gave his appraisal of the situation: "I personally would commit suicide if I'd even been charged with the threat of a short-time imprisonment. There are outrageous types of torture going on: the guards have been removing teeth, amputating limbs, starving people, and psychologically abusing them.

Why this date?
The idea was already in the back, 25th was tuesday, but 29th is saturday, Rajoy already talked bullshit in NYC and the goverment announced the new reforms asked by the Troika to get a new bailout. People are even angrier.
Moreover the 25th was a success and took the international attention to Madrid. The repression was incredibly violent and this put many people in our side.
Many organizers already talked about this scenario and it happened, it’s inside the strategy.
What’s the plan?
It’s still being discussed, things go fast, but again we’ll surround the Congress and more cities are joining. Including Rome, Berlin, Bruxelles and Lisboa.
We’ve no fear, no one in here is afraid of what’s happening and we’ll keep the peaceful way as principle and as an strategy.
So, what?
The idea is to keep pressure on the government, because they’re doing wrong everyday to maintain the calm.
There are some doubts of what we’re doing after the 29th and how it will end, but we are standing up for democracy, that’s our objective despite the discussions.
My opinion
I said we were going to shake the world and it turned into reality. We’ve here people from all over Spain, the most implicated people in the movement is working hard to do this. We’re even making turns of people going back home replaced by fresh ones, and in the weekend it’ll be easier to be in Madrid.
Everything is going so fast and we’re dealing with it quite well. The government is facing a complicated situation, they are even running out of money to maintain the repression (they gave it to the banks).
The people here is the best communication team I ever saw. The people on the streets are already in the dynamics of the movement and know how to deal with problems is protests. We’re on a amazing point of maturity and organization.
Other countries are waking up: the protests returned to Greece, Rome is calling to surround their parliament, Portugal is protesting hard… Maybe the situation in Europe is going to get hot, which is my objective.
Portuguese workers to protest austerity policy nationwide 9/29, possible general strike
The government going down? Maybe, I don’t know.
But what concerns me is showing everybody what’s happening in here.

The riots in Spain aren't over and instead are spreading across the country as shown in this crazy video were a protestor drop kicks the police.

Anti-government protests in Madrid Tuesday devolved into violent riots, after groups of tactical police charged into an agitated crowd.
Spanish media reported dozens of arrests and scores of serious injuries, not a surprising result given the images of bloody confrontation being broadcast out of Madrid.
At around 9 p.m. local time, some 30 minutes before the protest permit demonstrators had been granted to rally in the vicinity of the national Congress was set to expire, violent skirmishes broke out between police and protesters. Firing rubber bullets into the crowd and charging with tactical batons, the large contingent 1,300 riot, or antidisturbios officers seemed at times to be as much attempting to push back the rally as to trying to avoid being overwhelmed by the protesters, who numbered in the thousands. It was a bloody exclamation point on a tense, all-day rally -- denominated as the #25S demonstrations to "surround the Congress and rescue democracy" -- that saw plenty of arrests earlier in the day.
About an hour after the initial charges, police had cleared out most of the area immediatly near the national palace, but were still engaged in shoving matches on the outskirsts of Madrid's Plaza Neptuno, where most congregated. Under the watchful eye of the mythical Greek god of the sea and being observed by thousands around the world via live webcast, protesters chanted "The people united, will never be defeated," "You call it democracy, but it's not" and "Being a police, I'd be ashamed of that."
Holding up banners and placards, close to 10 p.m. local time, the protesters began chanting "These are our weapons. These are our weapons."

What kind of a Europe is this?....where the government congratulates the police for being violent, hitting without discrimination, where there are police provocateurs dressed as protesters, and the people can't make a decent living on honest work?

The whole world needs a revolution against these financial terrorists & their puppet politicians, they are in greed, power & control self destruct mode & will take us all with them if we allow it, unfortunately it looks like things are going to have to get a lot worse yet before the majority of people to snap out of their trance & realise what is happening but when they do the shit is definitely going to hit the fan...

I hope you realize that popular outrage, as seen by all this gay ass Euro protesting, can be easily controlled and even be funded by globalist foundations.

Point is, the majority of these people are Euro protesting pussies because they have no idea what the fuck they are protesting for.
You need to look for better resources instead of relying on bloggers that have no life for your info
If they wanted real change they would call for an end to the Federal Reserve and a return to the principles upon which our country was founded. Your Anonymous group advocates populist ideas that won't change anything. Kind of like when everybody was dickriding the global warming movement back in 2009. Ain't shit gonna change by wearing anonymous Euro hats and shirts while worshipping populist ideals
