the artists have to take responsibility for the type of material they are creating. i think his entertainment is harmless and just asinine really, but he could use his clout to help other artists with more profound material get their materal out.
You have a point but i think the problem is most major movie companies only wanna see blacks act a damn fool and be ghetto. When is the last time a major movie company has put out a positive black film showing blacks having successful jobs and living good? Last film i can think of is The Best Man movie with Taye Diggs, Morris Chestnut, Sanaa Lathan, Nia Long, Terrence Howard. Every character in that movie was dressed nice and they all had good jobs besides Terrence LOL. The movie didn't have a lot of cursing, violence and sex. Before that film, the last black positive film i've seen that was done by a major movie company was Boomerang with Eddie Murphy, Robin Givens, Halle Berry, Martin Lawrence. Everybody in that movie wore nice clothes, had good jobs and nice houses. There was a couple of sex scenes between Robin and Eddie and there wasn't that much cursing and there wasn't any violence. Actually Tyler's Why Did I Get Married movie was very good. That movie showed blacks doing something different when the couples went to a cabin in the mountains in Colorado for a vacation. It was nice to see that. Tyler's The Family That Preys movie was also something different. He had a few white people in that one LOL. That was a good flick. Sanaa Lathan's character was a trip. Robin Givens was looking good in that one. Why can't more black films like these get made?

Ok, Charles, you need to chill. Yes Bill Cosby is a good man but he IS giving back to the black community. In Detroit, Bill Cosby has gone door to door to talk to blacks parents regarding the situation with Detroit Public Schools. His mission is to get black kids enrolled in Detroit Public Schools and not in the suburbs where most of the black parents are sending their children so that they can receive a "equality" education. Yes, Detroit Public Schools are failing and the so-called black leaders in Detroit could care less about the children. That's a fact. No body really cares (including the teachers) about the black kids and their future, but Bill Cosby does because he and some other people understand that blacks kids are dropping out of high school at an alarming rate.
