--- TNA News: TNA iMPACT Could Be Gone From Spike TV This October
It is interesting…is it not? TNA randomly changes gameplans and decides to go crazier than ever. Talent leave, and some are with one foot out of the door. Then you have the storyline direction which may be going as worse as it ever has been for TNA. So it should come as no shock to the TNA faithful that many fans have floated away and that Spike TV has noticed a decline in love for the product.
This has forced a lot of backstage heat on TNA President Dixie Carter. She basically shoved TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett out of the company, and since then a snowball effect has begun. Whether it’s the loss of a big TNA staple in AJ Styles or the loss of a legend in Sting, TNA is clearly not the exciting new company it once was.
Dixie decided she would complain recently about how TNA did not have a presence in New Orleans when the WWE put on their annual WrestleMania show. This was an after the fact problem she brought up. Many think it is strange for her to bring things up like this and yet she did not bother to try and figure out something to help get them in New Orleans for example.
Her mother Janice Carter and a Panda Energy attorney recently visited TNA offices and this came as a surprise to many. Janice is with Panda Energy and now runs the budget for TNA under the Panda Energy banner. She has never handled things in the TNA office, but rather over the phone or Dixie simply came to her. So this is not a good sign according to some.
Another big issue TNA is facing is the fact that they have yet to sign a new TV deal with Spike TV. Spike has shown TNA programming for the last number of years. Their deal will expire this October. Interestingly enough, upon the time TNA’s last deal with Spike was going on, TNA signed a year before it was set to end. So it is a bit weird that they would not sign a new deal.
There are very little interested parties that would take TNA. FOX Sports was a small idea years ago, but that has since gone down….especially seeing how UFC on primetime FOX cannot draw a lot of ratings in.
TNA has a big need in signing on with Spike TV. Without them, they lose a major bit of funding and no one cares about a wrestling company worldwide once it goes off TV. For an American company like TNA to be off of American TV, this is a huge issue.
They also do not have leverage like the WWE does in it’s time of contract deals. WWE is not signed with NBCU anymore, but USA Network is still showing their product because they know the ratings are there and they would love to keep them. WWE averages about a 2.2 for all of their televised shows. RAW alone has been in the 3.0s most of it’s time on TV.
TNA has never seen a 2.0 rating at all, for any show. So should Spike TV really want to sign a program that never really brings anything in anymore? Does TNA even have a bit of leverage here? Most think not. If TNA’s TV deal falls through, heavy heat will be on Dixie Carter even more than she has now. It looks highly likely that this will fall through for TNA. Stars like Kurt Angle have a contract up in September, and he has stated that he is considering a WWE return.
Most think Angle will take the jump to WWE regardless of the outcome of TNA’s TV deal. However, when you see yourself without a place to be seen versus a place that is not going anywhere, any time soon…you take the bird in the hand option. Without TV, TNA does not have a company, simply put. Their contracts are too heavy and their talent makes money due to TV spots. Most could make more on their own on the Indys rather than stay with TNA.
WWE could be in talks with Spike yet again for all we know, and could be there to take the TNA competition down for good. Or Spike is simply keeping options open. We will know by May according to WWE, on where their new TV home will be.
We shall see what TNA plans to do, especially Dixie Carter. My feeling is that Spike is really weighing options on if they should keep them. If they do plan to, look for the TV deal to be less than the previous one. TNA can either take it or leave it, similar to how their talks with recent departing talents have gone, right AJ Styles?
What's going on with the Extreme Rising Promotion? lol
-Extreme Rising (formerly Extreme Reunion) is an American independent wrestling promotion founded in 2012 by wrestling personalities Shane Douglas & Cody Michael, brothers Steve & Mike O'Neill, & producer Kevin Kleinrock (the "5 guys" of 5 Guys Wrestling, Inc.).
-In late 2013 it was reported that Steve O'Neill currently controls the promotion. Meant to fill the void of hardcore wrestling left behind by the defunct-Extreme Championship Wrestling, Extreme Rising assembled a roster of ECW alumni, such as Raven, The Sandman, Stevie Richards, Jerry Lynn, among others.
- On October 14, 2013 Extreme Rising announced that they had secured a television deal in local Philadelphia markets. Also, Extreme Rising was the first promotion to run the former ECW Arena when the venue re-opened.
-In 2013, the Extreme Rising World Champion Stevie Richards announced via Twitter that he wanted to defend the title against Danny Doring in a videogame. Doring, who was one-half the last ECW World Tag Team Champions, and still possessed the physical belt, also put his title on the line in a "defunct promotion vs defunct promotion match". After his declarations, the promotion asked Richards to return the title, for referring to Extreme Rising as a "defunct promotion".
-In 2014, Richards would lose a non-title match at an ECWA show in Delaware to Luke Hawx following outside interference from Papadon where Hawx would 'steal' the World Championship belt. Following this confusion, Stevie would continue to defend the championship without the belt while Hawx would continue to proclaim himself champion while 'defending' the belt also. During this period, Stevie would retain the title in other promotions.
- On April 22, 2014 Extreme Rising cancelled all upcoming events and closed all social media accounts used by the promotion, leaving the future of the promotion in question.

I think it's both, they have a schedule of things each day but also an on demand archive where you can watch what you want.

If I got the network and went to a friend's place on the day of a PPV and he didn't have the network, we could still watch a PPV by just logging into the site right?
Pretty odd story: Hardcore Roadtrip Promoter Goes AWOL
Mark Livingston, the promoter for Hardcore Roadtrip, disappeared during the evening portion of last night’s doubleheader event. Livingston was nowhere to be seen by the end of the show and most of the talent had not been paid for the evening show, nor had transportation arrangements been made for workers to go from the London, Ontario area into the US so they could catch flights back home at the Buffalo and Detroit airports.
The show actually ended with an announcement about the situation; after the final match between Jesse Amato and Masada, the locker room came out to applaud them and then got into the ring. Ring announcer Stephen DeAngelis explained the situation, thanked the talent and asked any fans who had passports and could transport talent to help out of possible.
Another report from the site noted that talent who worked only the matinee show were paid, along with those who had requested their money up front. It was only those who had waited until after the show for their pay who were left out.
There was a story running around backstage that Livingston’s wife took him to the hospital, but that is not confirmed and no one was officially told that. Gregory Iron noted in a post to his Facebook page that he hurt his neck taking a bad bump, acknowledging that it was his own fault but saying that he may have hurt himself unpaid because Livingston “faked a heart attack”.
The promotion has an iPPV scheduled for tonight but that’s entirely up in the air at this point and may well not happen. Livingston has been unavailable for comment since he disappeared.

Update on Hardcore Roadtrip:
As we reported earlier today, several talent who worked yesterday’s evening half of Hardcore Roadtrip’s double-header found themselves unpaid and without travel arrangements after promoter Mark Livingston and his wife disappeared. The situation continues to look bleak as the Facebook pages for both Livingston and Hardcore Roadtrip were deleted on Sunday.
Livingston reportedly left his championship belt at the show along with a laptop that was being used to record the iPPV audio and several cameras that were used in shooting the show. These were taken by the talent in order to make up for the lost money.
I contacted promoter Mark Livingston twice today – once at 9:30AM and again at 7:30PM and have not received any reply as of this writing. This is VERY similar to what happened several weeks ago with the Extreme Rising promotion. The Hardcore Roadtrip promotion even came out and blasted them, offering discounted tickets to their event due to Extreme Rising cancelling their events and then deleting their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Everyone seemed to like this PPV, I thought it was a little meh. Shield/Evolution was awesome though.

That would have been really dumb if Ambrose had won the battle royal. He held the title(defended it once every six months) for the longest amount of time since it's been exclusive to WWE. So who held it longer than him him beforehand and was it a WCW wrestler?

Hunico, and Sheamus got into a real life fight, and the reports are Hunico, who is now playing thr role of Sin Cara, won the fight. This isn't the first time Sheamus got beat up by a smaller man, because back in the day he got into a fight with Yoshi Tatsu, and it i said that Tatsu gave him such a beating Sheamus was in tears.
So am guessing Sheamus is one of those people who look tough on t.v, and like one of those people who might look tough in real life, but when it comes down to it they get their ass kicked all the time in a real fight, or at least when they fight people that know how to fight.
