liverpool need a 20 plus goal striker, without that they will fail again in the premiership. i think cisse will leave he hasnt performed to his potential at liverpool and from now on it seems unlikely that benitez will play cisse as a striker. Morientes jus couldnt cut it in the premiership i dont know why, he has the goalscoring ability, the main reason could be that he was played one game then put on the bench for the next. Benitez relied too much on crouch, and to be honest i dont think crouch is what liverpool need id prefer a strike force of morientes and cisse, then to see crouch play.
Berbatov is an excellent signing for spurs, i really see him making an impact in the premiership. martin jol knows what his doing and he has bought a striker that can score goals. now its just a case of who do you drop. keane or defoe, what about mido???

fucking hell another one gone
Following Bixente Lizarazu, Jens Jeremies (both retiring) and Michael Ballack (Chelsea), a fourth senior professional is to leave Bayern at the end of June. Zé Roberto, whose contract expires in just over a month, has decided to seek a new challenge after four successful seasons in Munich.
"Unfortunately, we've been unable to bring negotiations with Zé to a successful conclusion," general manager and board director Uli Hoeneß announced. "We wish him all the best for the World Cup in Germany, and then much success for the rest of his sporting career."
King of the assists
The tricky 31-year-old winger has yet to announce his next destination, although he has categorically ruled out a move within the Bundesliga and appears likely to find a new club in Southern Europe.
**edit** man this guy was awesome, im sad to lose him, theres a few more will leave soon so shit next bundesliga might be a struggle

bayern munich are in talks to buy turkish international yilderay basturk from hertha berlin. but they gonna need much more to replace ballack and them lot. i think bayern should concentrate on raising young players, because with the giant leap spanish, italian and english clubs have taken all the top players will play in these leagues. its now harder to attract top players to the bundesliga, so raising new players can benefit german clubs and the national team who need a couple new stars in their squad. i realise that a lot of the young talent in germany are turkish players, in fact the U-17 squad that turkey had who won the european cup and performed really well in the U-17 world cup, most of them were german born turks. players like nuri sahin the germans raise him and the turks snatch him. in the future this kid is going to be a class player.
-
yeah i think bayern is also lookin at lukas podolski, a few months ago a dude at work said his paper (i think it bulgarian) said bayern was lookin at bojoinov but im unaware of his status, i think the board is gonna go out on a limb and try and purchase a big signin, something that happens rarely, with ballack gone i think schweini will step up to the plate, he'll have more responsibility which i think is good, have sme trainin underthe master and now he can step to the plate, hopefuly andreas görlitz can stay fit this season and watch out for dos sanots hes a top prospect!! and yeah, your right on the turkish factor, mehmet scholl anyone?
-
i heard about some 17 year old argentinian player bayern were looking at. i dont know his name but they say he was to replace ballack a real star in the making. lets see what happenes because bayern are germany's biggest club and need to be at the top of europe again.
-
i dont think u will see bayern lifting the UCL anytime in the next 10-20 years, we dont hav the money juve, real, milan, barca, man u,chelsea can get amd bundesliga isnt an attraction to pull big name stars, ugotta get em raw, develop em and sell em off for cash, but hey i hope i eat my words
-
yeah true, they got hammered by milan in the champions league and that just shouldnt happen. i dont think its because of the money bayern are a rich club, but the players they will go for will prefer the other leagues. a reason why bayern have become weak in europe is competition there hasnt been a team in germany that really can become a hard rival to bayern. One year you see leverkusen do good but the year after they fall. bayern really need to be tested this way they will really concentrate on strengthening their squad by doing this they will be stronger in europe.
-
true bayern make money but the board also limit what they spend, they refuse to spend outrageous fees for players, bayern will always get the best of the bundesliga but not much from other teams who will go off to chealse on triple wot u get at bayern
-
every board apart from chelsea and real madrid limit the amount spent on players. reason why they get the best players. ballack gets Ł6million a year and thats after tax making him the highest paid footballer. it is a sport were money dominates.
-
yeh but when you throw, man u, liverpool, milan, inter, roma, juventus, barca, valencia in the mix, bayern spend all their signings on wot they would spend one player. recently bayern went all out, ze robert, lucio, deisler, makaay, ballack, that needed to happen but whether they go as hard again remains to be seen, i would like it if van bommel did come but i dont think theyll fork out the money
-
its hard to think bayern will go all out again its gonna be hard to replace all the players who have left with players with equal calibre. that will just cost too much. They will have 1 or 2 big signings but the rest will be players either from the youth system or players from the bundeliga.
-
ofcourse we wont get a big signing, chelsea wont leave anyone left:tease:
-
There's a lot of talk of Bayern Munchen getting Stillian Petrov from Celtic as well, he's not that bad a player but not high profile as such. Having Schweinsteiger on the books is definately a bonus. I'm not sure about Basturk anymore, he's not as highly regarded as he was like 4 years back.
-
bayern should get klose.
ive wondered why no one has really tried to make a bid for him. i mean ive never been overlly impressed, but he scores goals, and thats what football is about so...
theres talk drogba wants to leave chelsea, and has mentioned milan as destination. i hope not, hes ok, but hes not a top clubs 1 or 2 striker. he needs to go to a slightly smaller club, a good, but not great team, and play full time.
-
i thought drogba was linked with a move back to marseille, i guess wu killah could shed more light there, stillan petrov isnt too bad, yildary basturk isnt wat he was when leverkusen were at the top id consider different options before him, id like van bommel over him but i think barca are gonna stamp their foot down and demand a price they know we wont pay
