^^ Lianna La Havas wow, talented and beautiful.

^^ I heard their song 'You and me time' on the radio yesterday for the fisrt time. apparently it is not really representative for their catalogue (?) but I really dug the song. I am otherwise unfamiliar with the band. The only other song of theirs I know is the FANTASTIC 'Texas Sun' collabo with Leon Bridges.
Selah Sue took fibe years off to focus on her kids but she's back with an EP. This is the first single.
^ Khruangbin are fantastic. I was playing their music initially as background music but it gradually works its way into your soul, gorgeous stuff. Yeah 'Time' was their previous single, more disco oriented than the rest of their stuff which is inspired by Thai rock, Middle Eastern music, a lot of world music. They're more accessible than that sounds though.
That Selah Sue track is very sweet and nice.

idk whether we'd make great pets at this point tbh

^ That Haim LP is fire. They dropped the ball on their previous record.

This album is amazing too. A lot of Pop and R&B this year that is killing me.
^ It's beautiful stuff. I'm a bit in love with her.
This was the first song of hers that hooked me, it's so sad:

Cowritten by Aqualung, which I didn't realize.
the man, the legend!
my favorite artist ever
the D&P album put him back on the map commercially. it's also just a really enjoyable album imo. nothing groundbreaking maybe, but very well executed. and plenty of hits. Rosie Gaynes was a good find by Prince. I always thought her solo career would take off after the original New Power Generation broke up, but things never really happened for her. too bad with such a voice
^ The song is gorgeous. Always liked it but I got a Prince piano book a few years ago and recently was listening to it to learn.
^^that's great! are you familiar with this recently officialized bootleg? it's Prince rehearsing on the piano in 1983
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pian...icrophone_1983
my original bootleg copy has the sumptuous title 'Eavesdropped in intimate moments'. this version has him developing a song for about 17 minutes, 'So High'. it was left off the official reissue

they did a great job on cleaning up the sound on the official reissue
enjoy your time at the piano
