I don't care if you don't believe in christianity, I have friends of other faiths or athiest, thats their business. As long as they show respect for my beliefs I do the same. I take no issue with people having opinions on christianity, but just don't come on no ignorant shit.

tolerance is a negative thing in my opinion.

Tolerate was the wrong word, although I kind of see what you mean by tolerance being a negative, but tolerance can lead to understanding and that imo is definatley a good thing.

basically they twisted jesus words and added some other shit to the story from other beliefs and made a hodge podge. bad part about it is that people have been killing each other over this shit for hundreds of years. theres no way imo that a sane person can look at the history of christianity and where it comes from and still be sacred of going to hell if you dont accept jesus as your savior. the world is too beautiful to have such a shitty plotline. its dark ages stuff

Rome didn't just go around nailing Jews to crosses. Crucifixion was reserved for treason and rabble rousers. Claiming to be the Messiah wouldn't have raised any eybrows, not even among the Jews. There were hundreds of people claiming to be the Messiah. It was like "get in line." In order for Jesus to be crucified, he would have had to be convicted of insurrection.

The early Christians living under the Roman Empire had to somehow gain a following. They had a few problems.

1.) Their Messiah was dead.
2.) He had died a traitor to Rome.
3.) He may have been a bastard.

Guess how they solved these problems?

1.) Claim he was "resurrected" and he'll come again with sword, fire, and brimstone.
2.) Absolve Pilate (a notorious hater of Jews who never held trials) of guilt by making him a wuss and the Jews seem like bloodthirsty murderers.
3.) Rip off old legends of virgin births and conception by gods.

I can sum up this thread in one word: DOGMA
