You can make people forget. its called conditioning. you see it everyday in the prison system, where the conditions seemed like luxury compared to a slave's.

CONDITIONING DOESN'T MAKE A PERSON FORGET. PEOPLE IN THE PRISON SYSTEM DON'T FORGET.
