Carlos 'has Chelsea offer'
From correspondents in Weggis, Switzerland
May 25, 2006
ROBERTO Carlos is the latest player to be targeted by England champion Chelsea, the Brazilian stating the London club had offered him a three-year contract.
The 33-year-old has one year to run on his deal with Real Madrid and said he would make up his mind after the World Cup, which starts on June 9.
"The problem is not financial," he told reporters before a training session with the world champion side.
"The problem is the length of the contract and my motivation to play football.
"Chelsea have made a good offer and are offering three years of contract instead of one year more with Real Madrid."
"I hope to get a reply from Real Madrid to re-negotiate my contract, if not I'm going to look for somewhere else."
"I want to have a good World Cup and, three or four weeks later, I hope to have decided whether I stay at Real Madrid or go to Chelsea."

Ex pros for R O W team are Schmeichel, Desailly, Lothar Mathias, Dunga, Ginola, Zola and Maradona. Gullit and Poyet are also involved.

morientes moves to valencia for an undiclosed fee. seems that liverpool will buy a new striker. good news, its better for morientes he will do much better back in spain.
Cristiano Zanetti moves to juve on a free transfer. And same with Rui Costa going to Benfica.
Pauleta stays in Paris. probably the best striker of the 5 last years in the French League.
Arsenal's French midfielder Robert Pires has agreed a two-year deal with Villarreal.
