floyds all around technical abilities outweigh those of mosleys.
shane often trusts his power too much, then gets oupointed. hes been outboxed by lesser boxers than mayweather before, (cotto, forrest, wright etc..). Mosley does not shine against counter punchers, youll see
This place has been quiet for a while. What are y'all predictions on these big upcoming fights:
- Pacquiao-Clottey
- Berto-Quintana
- Khan-Malignaggi
- Mayweather-Mosley
- Chambers-Klitschko
pacquiao vs clottey:
pacman by late stoppage or UD. I dont see clottey bring anything new to the table that pacman hasnt handled yet, clottey has a good chin, decent speed and power, hes tough, but he can be flat footed and a little lazy. I see pacquiao outwork clottey.
Berto vs Quintana:
good matchup for Berto, i hope hes recovered from the mental hiccup of the haiti earthquake. Quintana hasnt fought a good fight since 2008 when he beat williams, Berto will KO Quintana impressively
Khan vs Malignaggi:
This could be a terrible fight, the styles dont matchup well. Malignaggi looks improved since leaving Buddy Mcgirt but Khan is wayy too talented for him, and malignaggi couldnt hurt a fly.
mayweather vs mosley:
mayweather by UD or SD, mosely struggles against good boxers (forrest, winky) i can see mayweather outlanding mosley with his pinpoint accuracy. The fight will be interesting Mosley will be on Mayweathers case for 12 rounds, but PBFs defence will ruin Mosleys rhythm and mayweather will take over the second half of the fight
-Pacquaio by SD - i think Pacman is going to have a hard time with Clottey
-Berto by UD - Berto shouldn't have trouble w/ Quintana like he did Collazo, plus i think he'll come in more prepared this time
-Malignaggi by UD - Never seen Khan fight, but he has an impressive resume. Only problem is he hasn't fought any named fighters yet.
-Mayweather by UD - I hate to admit it b/c i want to see PBF get his ass whooped, but Mosley is aging, and PBF is never off his game.
-Klitschko by TKO/KO - Wladimir is going to win big against another big fighter and get no credit.
Other fights
B-Hop by UD over Roy Jones - I hope B-Hop destroys RJJ so i can die happy.
Haye by KO over Ruiz - Should set up Klitschko/Haye match
Pavlik by SD over Martinez - This could be the fight of the year
I agree with what you say on the Pacquiao-Clottey fight, although I think Pac will take a points decision, I can see Clottey putting him in spots of trouble with his pure resiliance and stubborness. Berto should win on points or a late stoppage, but it ain't gonna be easy for the first few rounds.
Khan-Malignaggi is a tough one to call. I've seen every one of Khan's fights but he's never been matched against a big name (bar of course a washed up Barrera), so it's gonna be interesting to see how he fares. Malignaggi can't hit hard for shit, but he can take a punch like a champ so he's gonna stay in there for a possible points victory, although it's hard to call.
Mayweather is gonna win on points.
Eddie Chambers is one of my favourite fighters atm and I really hope he can cause an upset but I just cannot see it. Klitschko is gonna pick him off in a boring fight for a points victory.
And although Hopkins and Jones is a battle of old timers, it's gonna be interesting.
