Damn, I really hoped Costa Rica would make it a draw today. Paolo was one of my favorites when he played for Derby. Germany's defense seems like a big problem, they can't play that way against the better teams.

germany need to fix their defense if costa rica can score two goals, other teams will walk by the germans. lahm's and frings scored two amazing goals. but looking at frings goal that new ball did look awkward in the air. no wonder goalkeepers dont like it, the curl on it is amazing. gonna see a lot of long range goals this world cup, a good game though, although defensively both teams were shit.

the defence wasnt as bad as what youse are making out,yeah they chuffed up 2 or 3 times but overall they tracked back pretty well and cover defence was fair, just a few problems with thecentral defenders,they seemed nervous on the occasion,especially mertesacker,omg twice he chuffed up balls in the box and should of been punished, but i think today was more of a get the occasion out of the way now its down to business, especially for the young ones, i think theyll rise up, they know they wont get away with shit like that,theyll go up a level against polska,speaking of, poland was shit house, sooooo much hype was made about them,just like 4 years ago, and just like 4 years ago their gonna choke, its like 5 world cups in a row or sum shit theyve failed to score a goal in the opening game, so far 3 top notch goals, frings goal aaaaaaahhhhhhhh sublime, still cut he left bayern :(

yeah poland were shit, ecaudor owned them. watching that match it never felt like poland were gonna score, even if they dominated the second half. whenever ecaudor came forward you felt like they were gonna do something with the ball. and they did twice two well worked team goals.

Great win to Ecuador, I hoped they would win, definitely a great team, I hope they'll reach the quater-finals, haha..
