so you done talking shit about him yet?
He was makin plays that most the quarterbacks in the league couldent do

I was wondering the same thing. It looked like he still had control (albeit a control that was disappearing fast) of the football when it left his hand.
Great game regardless. The interception right before the half was the difference maker. The Cardinals went to the well one too many times with the inside routes against a great defense. You gotta wonder why they don't try to get Fitz in a jump situation at that point. They still had the time and downs. Fans of the Cardinals who bet on 'em covered the spread though (7 points) and for a team who has been historic in their shittiness that's not a bad season. Both teams played a hell of a ball game.
IIRC the last play can't be reviewed and the refs were probably tired
wow so the steelers needed help in 3 of their 6 superbowls. the refs were terrible both ways, but how do you not even review that last play.
the steelers can also thank rodgers-cromartie for playing the worst coverage i have ever seen.
I don't see how the Cardinals couldn't stop that fat thug Harrison from running it back 100 yards. Yeah I know the Steelers blocked good on it, but come on now.
how come there wasnt a penalty for that celebration those extra 15 yards at the end could have really helped the cardinals
see now you faggots want celebration penalties. how many excuses are you guys gonna make up to try to say that the steelers didn't earn that superbowl? 2 calls were overturned in arizona's favor that could have probably have been call inconclusive. one of those cost the steelers 4 points, the other cost them a turnover.
the steelers quarterback made fewer mistakes.
the steelers #2 receiver outplayed the cardinals #1 receiver (the best receiver in the nfl)
the steelers had a 100 yard int td
even if the last play should have been reviewed and overturned, kurt warner's poor decisions throwing dump passes to the running back in the middle of the field forced them to use their time outs and it would have been very difficult for them to get a field goal to tie the game anyways.
It Was A Good Game Thats All I Can Ask For Larry Fitzgerald Is A Beast I Feel Bad For Him He Came Up Big In The Second Half.
I Gotta Give It Up To Roethsberger He Led His Team Down The Field And Won The Game And Puttin That Pass Where Only Holmes Could Get It Was A Really Nice Pass.
It Seems Like That QB Draft Will Go Down As One Of The Best Especially After Eli Wins His Second Next Year.
It was a good game. The fourth quarter was exciting as hell. I thought Arizona was going to take it. It was quite a comeback. Congrates to the Steelers for the win.
It was a great game! man I screamed my lungs out!
congrats to the steelers for the victory and props to the cards for making it and almost winning , this game could have ended with any one of these teams winning.
I hear kurt might retire; hmm is matt ready?
Roethlisburger made plays man. He always aint the prettiest, but he's clutch. The Steelers secondary got torched a few times, but Warner throwing that INT....that shit killed there momentum that they didnt regain until the 4th.
But AZ's achilles was there shitty defense, and it was exposed. Great super bowl, it was the first i have watched sober and in its entirety for a few years now.
yeah that int killed the cards, and big Ben is the best QB from his draft class
I just don't see what makes Eli Manning good. the fact that the Giants defense and David Tyree won them a superbowl automatically makes Eli great/??? I don't think so.
he will always be Peytons autistic little brother
When Are People Going To Give Up On The Prevent Defense I Hate It And Pitt Let Up The Fitzgerald Touchdown In It. I Say Defenses Should Still Attack Not Have There Safetys 25-30 Yards Down Field. It Works In Theory But Defenses Always Seem To Get Timid And Not Make Plays When There In It.
baby jesus, i agree 100%. i have always hated the prevent defense. you should keep going with what has gotten you to that point in the game.
the funny thing about the prevent is that it is supposed to stop the big plays. i consider that 60 yard td catch by larry fitz to be a big play.
Took almost all game to get that catch though, I think if they played any different you'd have probably seen him make a big play a lot earlier. Not to mention Warner completing mostly dump-offs through 3 quarters.
I hate the prevent it is pretty worthless unless there is one sec left and a team has to throw a 78 yard bomb to win the game, and was it good d by the steelers or was that the game plan to do all those dump-offs?
what the fuck are you talking about? that homo was clearly not in the end zone and it should never have been called a touchdown on the field to begin with and arizona had atleast two drives stopped because of holding penalties when ben runs around for 20 seconds and no holding gets called.i mean it's pretty ridiculous for steeler fans to act like they don't know what the rest of the world is talking about when we say they gave you the game
i've heard a few people on espn today saying that they thought that was a touchdown and can't believe that it was overturn. i guess the steelers have espn on their payroll now, too.
so you are complaing that the cardinals were holding, and the refs threw a flag and penalized them because of it and the steelers didn't hold, but because the play lasted longer than the average play that the steelers should be penalized for holding even though they didn't hold on the play?
please explain why if the steelers have a better pass rusher than the cardinals have a pass blocker, why holding shouldn't be called. is it james harrison's fault that he got by the tackle and he had to hold him from killing kurt warner? you are a retard. you say that the holding penalties stopped the drive. but if the tackle didn't hold james harrison, the sacks would have stopped the drive and kurt warner might be injured.
if you really think the refs wanted the steeler to win, why would they call holding in the end zone. on that play, the steelers got a first down and had a good chance to run out the clock. instead, arizona got 2 points and the ball back.
if the refs wanted the steelers to win, why did they overturn a touchdown and turnover call?
if you're talking about the 100-yard runback then you don't know wtf you're talking about or you're unaware of what the actual rules are. His knees never hit the ground, they hit Fitz. When he got taken down the first thing to touch the ground was his helmet in the endzone. Touchdown.
does the nation really hate pittsburgh this much??? I mean i think thats great but this crying about refereeing and shit....god thats lame. so utterly lame considering Pittsburgh got a bunch of bad penalties.
^which ones?
oh right so someone on espn said that it should have been a touchdown ok now i'm convinced what was i thinking fuck espn and the so called expert's they have.now on to the next subject if they are going to call holding on arizona why wouldnt they call it on pitt dockett was getting into the backfield more then anybody last night if ben is rolling around in the pocket and has 10 seconds to throw the ball then someone's holding.since you wbrought up the midget harrison how come he wasn't thrown out of the game for throwing punches oh that's right the ref didn't see it my bad.they called holding in the end zone because he straight tackled the guy you jackass what the hell was he supposed to call i mean if the cardinals player hadnt fallen to the ground they wouldn't have called it.i don't know why you keep saying they overturned a touchdown when u know that cocksucker didnt get in
see my above post faggot
not even close to holding. you know nothing about football.
lol a pitt fan telling someone else they don't know anything about football that's classic and you know that was holding your team needs to hand back those past two trophies because they didn't earn it and everyone knows it
ha haaaaaaaa
colon.
like the bowel.
whatever, fuck it. congrats to your steelers forreal. i hate em', but they won and that's that. i know if my squad won, it wouldn't matter how they won, they won and they won. i know they whooped my teams ass this year. and now they are champions. i'd rather the steelers have 6 rings than the cowboys have 6 rings. i'm not even gonna get into the shit i think was foul in that game, it's pointless IMO. no do overs, pissburgh won. peace to my boy ryan clark.
Ok, so the steelers had some overturned calls against them. But everyone (television, local radio stations, espn radio, basically anyone who isnt a steeler fan) is saying the refs called the game in the steelers favor-Unnecessary personal fouls, a few holds not called on that int return, the last play, etc.
Props to Holmes for his final td catch, and being named MVP. However, if you know anything about football, any speedy receiver could've did the things Holmes did by how bad Rodgers-Cromartie was defending him. Re-watch the game, and see how he backsteps before the ball is even hiked, plays off Holmes for short catches, and even figures a way to being burned on long runs. This dude is terrible. He cost the Cardinals the game in my opinion.
so now it's the steelers fault that the cardinals have bad d-backs? everyone knew the cards had a bad defense. they made it to the super bowl on their unbelievable passing game. the steelers d was able to shut that down long enough to win the super bowl. i don't understand what the problem is in saying that the steelers won the super bowl. i think they earned it. on the other hand, if that pass would have been intercepted instead of caught by holmes, i would have said that they cardinals earned the win. i thought both teams played an unbelievable game. if the nfl had 14 minute quarters, arizona would be super bowl champs right now.
are you forgetting about Cromartie breaking up that long would-be TD at the beginning of the game? He's a rookie CB so his game isn't perfected or no shit but I think "terrible" is reaching. He's gonna be a shut-down corner with more experience.(or atleast is capable of being one)
The refs did get ticky-tack on some calls but if a team is really gonna win a ball game you gotta rise above all obstacles even if that means the refs. The Cardinals were still in a position to win it all at the end of the game. The only controversial decision was the no-call for the replay at the end. Other than that, the refs didn't get involved in the moments that mattered most. Either the Cards where gonna get a stop on D or they weren't. Great game that could've gone either way. Instead of complaining (no1 in particular portis) why don't people reflect on that?
Paraphrasing this: "I'm mad, I'm mad, I hate the Steelers, I hate the Steelers"
You faggots are pathetic whining about the refs. You can tell all the Cardinals fans didn't really watch much football before this season because they sound so god damn retarded when they try and argue their points.
You know who I feel sorry for? The Steelers. That's right. They probably would have won that game if there were no bad calls by the refs, but know they have to hear about the officials again. The Steelers were pretty much handed the Super Bowl 4 years ago, but not this time. The Steelers desrved to win that game. I do agree the Cardinals should have had one last play to try to score. I don't think that was a fumble, and the officials really blew it not reviewing it. It's a shame that the officials took away from such a great game, but it's a perfect ending to a season in which the refs were absolutely horrible. I'm glad the officials are taking the beating they are right now, but I hate the fact that the Steelers have to listen to that crap instead of being congratulated by all. They really need to take a long look at th officiating in the NFL. Such a shame. Getting really hard to watch the NFL due to the awful officiating these days.
