Nobody Move Nobody Get Hurt
Yellowman
Zungguzungguguzungguzeng! lol
Til Shiloh will always be my fave/best Reggae album
my favorite has to be the 'songs of freedom' anthology of bob marley or the trojan 'ganga collection' featuring mad artists all praising the collie. i love reggae and want to hear of others favorites, etc.
I guess I will just name one and not get all exited and name 15 albums like a queef.
Black Uhuru - Red
Is my favourite reggae album.
Greensleeves Records Sampler vol I
this album is none stop classics from probably the best reggae label ever.
includes:- Zungguzungguguzungguzeng - Yellowman, Stop That Train - Clint Eastwood & General Saint, Ganja Smuggling - Eek-A-Mouse, Pass The Tu-Sheng-Peng - Frankie Paul , Feel The Rydim - Sugar Minott.........too many to mention..
also feeling the first Ini Kamoze album (called "Ini Kamoze"), which he did in 84 (10 years before he went commercial with "Here comes the Hotstepper") .
other faves are:-
Bob Marley - Uprising
Bob Marley - Kaya
Scientist - Scientist meets the Space Invaders
Burning Spear - Marcus Garvey
Bob Marley - Exodus
Augustus Pablo - King Tubby Meets Rockers Uptown
The Congos - Heart Of The Congos
And a bunch more
burning spear got some dope stuff, lee perry, tosh, steel pulse, and obvi bob.
check em out.
yo recommend me some of the tightest reggae albums, i slept on this genre long enuff, im talkin shit from burning spear, black uhuru, barrington levy, jr reid and of course the great bob marley, i heard his sons make dope albums too like stephens album was hot as fuck n u already know bout damian, post em up
I don`t listen to much reggae, but theres this dub band I really like called Fat Freddy`s Drop and they got some pretty good reggae sounding tunes. All three of their albums are sweet, here are some gems:
Not all their shit is reggae, they play jazz, soul, etc.
This is your homework. I will cut it to 10 albums so I will exclude the Bob Marley albums and keep it one album per artist.
Black Uhuru - Red
Gregory Isaacs - Night Nurse
John Holt - Police in Helicopter
Max Romeo - War ina Babylon
Burning Spear - Marcus Garvey
Peter Tosh - Legalize It
Lee Perry - Super Ape
Sizzla - Black Woman & Child
Bunny Wailer - Blackheart Man
Wailing Souls - Firehouse Rock
k ill let u know when i dl these, i feel horrible dlin albums from marley n peter tosh
k i got all these albums im lsitenin to them as we speak, is their more i should get from marley besides burnin, uprising, exodus, natty dread? i downloaded legend as well but i basically had most of the songs already.
