ya the stories in the moon knight book were just dragging on too long, though i did like the goriness and dark tone of it all, supposedly it's picked up recently and it's got jefte palo doing the art now and he's the shit, but i'm a completist so i would feel obligated to get all the back issues to have a complete run. issue #13 or whatever where they made him get an evaluation for registration was dope as fuck though, if the series had stayed on that pace it would be one of my favorite books. he's definitely highly underrated.

^ yea thats kinda why i wasnt reading it for a while and cuz i didnt know how id feel about a Professor X solo series. Some of the facial expressions are wack as hell and the art in general looks cheap, apparently Rogue and Gambit are gonna be headed to San Fran in the coming issues

i finished the x-men one. silver age shit is really dated lol but it was good. quality of the book itself is amazing. i wish they'd release x-men volume 2...there's only 35 or so more comics before x-men changed to uncanny...and they already have uncanny volume 1. so if they'd release x-men 2 i could read from #1 all the way to #120 or w/e (thanks to their fucked up numbering/re-issues)
gonna start spiderman now...only read amazing fantasy 15 so far lol
and damn, the art in Thor: Ages of Thunder looks insane!

did you get the uncanny x-men one? the claremont/byrne stuff is classic, for me that is THE X-Men (well also the Jim Lee stuff, and the Grant Morrison stuff lol)
I've never read the silver age x-men stuff, is it the original 5 for the whole run or are there other characters involved?

Vay i didnt read Uncanny this week yet and i agree it hasnt been good lol, but i think it will eventually get better....all of the pieces are starting to come together for the third part of the Messiah Trilogy and hopefully that brings credibility back to Uncanny
and i never read the silver age x-men either, i have the uncanny omnibus and its cool if you were thinking about getting them. There heavy and really thick but overall it was worth the price. The pages are crisp and everything looks good and so far the binding has been fine on it.
^^^^ya i have a few of the omnibus, but i have all of the old uncannys so i don't need it, i have everything from (if i recall correctly) the early 100s to the mid 300s.
i'm impatiently waiting on the iron fist omnibus to drop and that warlock masterworks
i got final crisis in hardcover this week and house of mystery vol 2, the final crisis is a beautiful volume even though the cover is a giant spoiler lol

^^ yeah i wanted to read uncanny but i figured there was only 60 something before it so i might as well start at the beginning. shit is mad sketchy, beast isnt even intelligent until the third issue lol.
it's iceman (who was a fucking snowman until issue 15 or something lol, beast (not blue), angel, cyke, and then jean grae shows up in issue 2 i think. plus xavier of course. its only them so far and i read up to issue 31. only villains worth mentioning are magneto, juggernaut and the sentinels (and merlin? lol)
i enjoyed it. dialogue is the worst you will ever read though haha. plus every second page has a footing from stan saying "in ish 13, REMEMBER?!" which is a pain in the ass too.
but i know i'll love the spiderman one. corniness is acceptable in a spiderman comic lol
anyone else here enjoy the ASM 597?, particularly the art...i like it...and vay, that batwoman pic looks awesome.

I picked up a while back essentials X-Men the original 5 and then Claremonts run. The original 5 just kept getting corny at times I stopped around the 5th issue. Does it get better? Claremonts run had the Phoenix saga and Days of the Futures past. Enjoyed it.

^^^i don't know every article i've read said that #600 featured characters reminiscing about steve rogers' death, and issue 601 is a ww2 flashback...maybe it hints at his return, or he returns but is incapacitated? i can't call it.
i hate epilogues and flashback issues...like Batman 687.
