I can't believe how boring 1st half of France - Switzerland was..

2nd half is proving to be similar...

France was the most disappointing major team ... that boring game recalls me 2002...

typical game of the French team. good defense, excellent Makelele, weak wingers and total misundertanding forward... = boring game.

How did Zizou perform? I only saw the 1st half and he looked good.

zidane for me was frances best player, he kept on pushing the french players forward. had an arguement with gallas and the other defenders for not pushing forward. but france were really poor, a very boring game.
brazil game was also boring, they will get better though, but ronaldo and adriano were shit. ronaldo didnt do shit. the coach needs to push ronaldo, and tell him he wont play if he keeps on walking around. croatia played really well and were unlucky to lose, they will comfortable go through this group if they play like this. dado prso was man of the match.

henry is just another forward in international play.


and starting wiltord over trezisgay? hes not my favorite player but id pick the later over the first.

henry and trezeguet dont play together no more, apparently henry doesnt want trezaguet alongside him. small arguement there.

Ribery was very disappointing, I don't think it was a good idea to make him start, he's better as a joker.
It seems a second forward was missing Henry was too alone in the attack.

Henry needs to be able to come back in the mid and run at people. Hes not a pure striker in the Luca Toni (powerful) /Inzagi (goal poacher) sort of way. If they dont play a system that allows him to play like that I think France will have another dissapointing cup.

Henry shot weakly, i don't know why... sometimes it seems he's too proud, thinking his shots will get through anyway. maybe it works at arsenal, but with the french team, i've never been impressed by the guy.

makelele was awesome, so was zidane. but zidane has a problem, he's so brilliant, nobody can follow him...

and the Swiss team played ruff, they even did 3 or 4 handtouches in the area... i think the referee was kinda crazy, distributing yellow cards for nothing.

and Ribéry... well, i don't understand his choices. he couldn't play in the Premiership like that, always waiting for the referee to blow the whistle.

personally, i was impressed by Brazil. i'm reading that they weren't so impressive, but it was only the first game and the defense and midfield were very good. attack was missing the point, right.

My favourate game of the tournament so far has to be the Argentina/ Ivory coast match.
