The difference is a Muslim is one who submits to Allah...
An arab is a race or ethnic origin....
Theres nothing really in connection with the two becuase any human being who submits to allah is a Muslim....

In regards to Slavery...from what i've studied and from what i know, is if a muslim following the Quran and the chracter of the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) had slaves....he would treat them respectfully....
He would give the one enslaved opportunity to earn his freedom through many, if the muslim had a business he(the slave) may even run part of it or marry one of his(the muslims) daughters....

Which isn't the same as the european slave trade which exploited, dehumanised and stripped human beings of dignity systematically....

show me some evidence of this.....

Any way my point was that releasing slaves in Islam is a meritorious act.... And bilal (a black man who was enslaved) was the first freed from his captors in Islam....

No, people missed the whole point of this thread. And i dont mean that Muslims are same everywhere.

I respect what the Black muslims did in USA for their people. (even tho i dont need to agree with everything they say)

And like we know, people like to say that slaves got more rights becos of what happened during Muhammad times, that is true. And even if the conditions of slaves got better, still the idea of slavery survived among muslim. And still today that legacy lives in africa and middle-east. It doesnt matter if its "slaves with rights" or somehting like that.. What is real is the tradition where people are still sold to other people.

There are differend schools of Islam and for example Wahhabis in Saudi-Arabia have never banned slavery.

-smh- this must be al'islam's version of trying to justify slavery. Having slaves is disrespectful, so there's no way a slave master can treat them with respect when the act of having a slave is disrespectful.

True indeed. Even during the time of slavery were the makers, just not the owners as far as how we were functioning. There's so many things we either made or was a MAJOR part in the development of something that was made by a collective, yet the colored man would take ownership of it.

The whole race thing along with giving out names is dealing with "Why does the devil call our people African?" It may say african, but the science and application goes beyond just being called african. Divide and conquere....why does the devil call our people african.
