the Swiss victory proves one thing, and that is negative defensive football is the way to win games. No matter how good Spain played it was going to be incredibly difficult for them to open up a 9 man defense. credit to the Swiss they defended with discipline.
Im sure if Spain played the same as Switzerland did they would have won the game. Just sit back and wait for a counter attack or set piece. but the Spanish just dnt play like that, and are actually one of the very few teams in this world who want to play positive football.
That group is now wide open cause Chile was really impressive, they were unlucky not to beat Honduras by 5 goals, Sanchez was dope. I still think Spain will qualify but it could be that they finish 2nd in their group and set up a possible second round tie with Brazil.
Uruguay were good, and it was a penalty even though it was the smallest of touches the goalie still brought Suarez down. It werent like SA were robbed either cause they werent gonna win the game, they were pretty shit. dnt see them making out the group.

looking forward to argentina v south korea....Like I have said previously in this thread... my money is on argentina !!!!...I saw a programme that was showing how teams got to the world cup in s.a and on the episode I watched they profiled argentina... really argentina struggled in the qualifiers and Im really surprised maradonna wasn`t sacked...if that was any other coach they would have got the axe.
With that said, I think argentina have somthing to prove in this world cup, and will go all out for maradonna, to prove his critics wrong...I believe if they click they will be a very potent force...because most of there players are youngish and hungry.
I hope they put on a good display against south korea to send out a warning , but ultimately I just hope there are no spain like surprises.
