You think this kid really deserved to get shot to death?
I'm not saying the cop was necessarily wrong, but somethings wrong.
Was that to me?
No I don't think he deserved to get shot to death. I was just trying to explain why both sides might say what they did.
Let me expound and say, that most normal people or people who think they are normal do not want to think they killed somebody unjustifiably. They are gonna find reasons to justify it. People would like to think they are right in the actions they do. So the police is gonna justify himself, and the mother is gonna say her son is innocent and didn't deserve it.
It's kind of like how people justify rape and sexual abuse, nobody wants to admit they're a rapist or sex pest so they use justifications such as
"She was wearing revealing clothes"
Or
"She was leading me on"
Humans justify all sorts of wrongful behaviour, rape or murder it's all the same.
sosa, didn't you say recently that you thinks cops are pretty much always in the wrong?
I was generalizing but it does take a certain type of person to enforce the law. It means they have to judge whats right and wrong, and the law is not always accurate and its also open to the cops interpretation. The law is obviously always on the side of the cops. It makes for a lot of problems, I imagine I would be dead for some of the shit I pulled on cops if I lived in the US. I've punched cops right in the face and they deserved it. I'm guessing you live in a place where cops are on your side but its not like that everywhere.

Most of my students where I live (Belgium) who take the cop exam flunk the psychological tests so I guess they must be pretty hard. Still, police abuse is on the news about once a month or every two months (very serious cases at that) in my country so something must go wrong when the officers are out on the streets for a while. I think some of them can't handle stress, frustration, greed or a feeling of power in the long run. Maybe there are parallels with the police force in other countries? I can't say anything about the US since I don't live there.
One thing I would like to add though is that this whole situation has been the main news story for a couple of days where I live (and in neighbouring countries as well) so I guess you could say the world is watching, not just the US. Analists over here are painting a pretty bleek picture of not so covert racism still rampant in the US, hard for me to say how true this is. The huge amount of licensed gun carriers, the fact that this makes the police carry even heavier guns (kind of like an arms race) and the fact that the police get out of use military equipment from the army (is this really true? several analists mentioned machine guns and even tanks?!) and finally the bad economy (fewer jobs for poor people who don't have many official qualifications) are factored in quite often in the analyses over here. It's really hard to Judge from such a long distance so I refrain from making any definite statements of my own. I just wanted to share how media are covering this news over here.

Yeah I don't think he would come back to work there anyway with so many crazy racist people wanting to 'kill that honkey', as I see posted a lot.
A pregnant woman lost her eye after bean bags were shot at a crowd area that was blocking police in. Why is a pregnant woman out there anyway? It shows she dosn't care about the baby's safety.

Elderly Man On Oxygen Is Allegedly Attacked, Carjacked, Then Run Over In Ferguson During Protests
Sick pieces of shit
Destroying your own community. Killing and robbing your own people. It's pathetic that we as people don't respect ourselves but want other races to respect us. It can be in the work place, school, in public, etc.
Robbing our elders, abandoning your children, leaving your women defenseless, role reversal, and unable to construct a nation isn't the proper way a community should function.
For some, this protest is an opportunity for people to be animals.
In order to build a nation, people need to be honorable. I don't see nor feel honor as of yet. This IS a serious problem!
----In Ferguson, black residents stand guard at white-owned store against looters
http://cdn.inquisitr.com/wp-content/...ng-665x385.jpg
Since looting first erupted following the August police shooting of black teenager Michael Brown, nearly all the businesses in a 2 square mile area of this St Louis suburb have had to board up. One exception - a Conoco gas station and convenience store.
At least a dozen stores have been set ablaze and others looted in Ferguson in racially charged riots since a grand jury on Monday cleared white policeman Darren Wilson in the shooting, which has torn apart this predominantly black Missouri city.
The unrest surrounding Brown's death has underscored the often-tense nature of U.S. race relations. But the gas station has stood out as a beacon, literally and figuratively, as nightfall has descended and chaos has reigned around it.
On Tuesday night, as police and soldiers took up positions in the parking lots of virtually every strip mall and big box store around it, the forecourt of the brightly lit gas station was busy with customers.
One, a six feet, eight-inch tall man named Derrick Jordan – “Stretch,” as friends call him - whisked an AR-15 assault rifle out from a pickup truck parked near the entrance.
Jordan, 37, was one of four black Ferguson residents who spent Tuesday night planted in front of the store, pistols tucked into their waistbands, waiting to ward off looters or catch shoplifters.
Jordan and the others guarding the gas station are all black. The station's owner is white.
Ferguson has seen a stark demographic shift in recent decades, going from all white to mostly black. About two-thirds of the town's 21,000-strong population are black. By some accounts, the Brown shooting has heightened racial tensions in the city. But not at the gas station.
"We would have been burned to the ground many times over if it weren’t for them,” said gas station owner Doug Merello, whose father first bought it in 1984.
Merello said he feels deep ties to Ferguson, and if the loyalty of some of his regular customers is any indication, the feeling is mutual.
REPAYING A DEBT
At times, Jordan and his friends were joined on Tuesday night by other men from the neighborhood, also armed. None of the men was getting paid to be there. They said they felt they owed it to Merello, who has employed many of them over the years and treats them with respect.
"He’s a nice dude, he’s helped us a lot," said a 29 year old who identified himself as R.J. He said he, like the other volunteers, had lived a short distance away from the store for most of his life.
He carried a Taurus 9mm pistol in his sweatpants and drew it out to show another customer, an older man at a pump who was brandishing a MAC-10 machine pistol.
Missouri allows the open carrying of firearms. State lawmakers recently passed a law overriding any local ordinance that banned the open carry of firearms by people who have concealed weapons permits.
R.J. said on Monday they chased away several groups of teenagers rampaging through the area.
But they have also had a close brush with soldiers from the Missouri National Guard, who mistook them for looters, he said. The guardsmen, rifles raised, had handcuffed one man before Merello came outside the store to explain that the residents were trying to help, not hurt.
While the volunteer guards talked, a white SUV pulled up and a thin young man sauntered into the store. A few moments later, there was a commotion. Merello frogmarched the man out the store.
One of the armed residents, Sean Turner, showed the .40 caliber pistol in his jacket and told the man, "This is what happens if you try to steal from this place."
--- Racism: White Protestors Told To Remain Unseen During Michael Brown Vigil In Toronto
Organizers for a Michael Brown vigil held in Toronto instructed white protestors to “refrain from taking up space in all ways possible” and “never be at the center of anything.” Rules set for white protestors were a whole different set from those that people of color were given, Opposing Views reports.
Those arranging the protest Tuesday told “non black allies” to keep hidden from cameras and the media at the Tuesday vigil — an event created by a group called “Black Lives Matter.”
The Daily Mail posted a notice of the rules white protestors received before the demonstration.
WHITE/NON BLACK ALLIES
While we appreciate the solidarity shown by White and Non-Black POC, want to remind folks of some things:
-Please refrain from taking up space in all ways possible. Remember that you are there in support of black folks, so should never be at the center of anything
-Refrain from speaking to the media. Black voices are crucial to this
-Stand behind black folks or between us and the police
-If you see a cop harassing a black person, come in and engage. (chances are they are least likely to arrest you)
The vigil demonstration could be seen as being “hampered” in this instance since anti-racism is the point people want to make, yet stage directions are handed out before appearing in front of global media.
As the report goes on to say, peaceful protests were consumed from furious critics on Facebook, charging that “Black Lives Matter” were leading their own segregated group. Many commenters lashed out at the organization, accusing them of using racism to fight racism.
There were comments on both sides of the issue when it came to the Michael Brown vigil.
“Wow, is this an anti-racist rally or a pro-segregation one?” one Facebook user wrote.
Another Facebook user indicated that the rules outlined by “Black Lives Matter” made all the difference in attending any Michael Brown events publicly.
“Changed a lot for me. I will no longer be attending this event or supporting this cause,” the user wrote.
Then there blacks who view whites as the ones overshadowing their messages.
“So many white tears about the rules for allies… Why can’t you let black folk stand in the center and let their voices be heard, just for once,” a proponent of the rules said.
The controversial rules set forth by the Michael Brown vigil organizers has burst onto headline news with their preference for white protesters to be unseen in the middle of a racism crisis.

The privileges of being white. Jesus!
There really is no end to this misery, is there? Wow.
So they don't want white people involved with the protesting unless a cop is harassing a black person in that case please jump in and do something :lmao: I hope white people stay home then, let the protest lose its meaning
--- Former NBA star Charles Barkley called Ferguson looters 'scumbags' and said that 'key forensic evidence, and several black witnesses that supported Officer Darren Wilson’s story.'
Former NBA star Charles Barkley recently called Ferguson looters "scumbags," praised police officers who work in black neighborhoods, and said he supports the decision made by the grand jury not to indict officer Darren Wilson in the Michael Brown shooting.
During an interview on 97.5 The Fanatic in Philadelphia on Tuesday, the day after the Ferguson decision was announced, host Mike Missanelli asked Barkley about it and why "black America" doesn't trust the ruling.
His response surprised some listeners.
"The true story came out from the grand jury testimony," Barkley said, adding that he was made aware of "key forensic evidence, and several black witnesses that supported Officer Darren Wilson’s story..." He continued, "I can’t believe anything I hear on television anymore. And, that’s why I don’t like talking about race issues with the media anymore, because they (the media) love this stuff, and lead people to jump to conclusions. The media shouldn’t do that. They never do that when black people kill each other. "
He also called those who rioted after the decision was announced "scumbags," and said "There is no excuse for people to be out there burning down people's businesses, burning down police cars."
And in a marked departure from other prominent black leaders who have questioned tactics used by officers and, in some cases, accused officers of racial profiling and outright racism, Barkley supported police officers, especially those who work in black neighborhoods.
“[W]e have to be really careful with the cops, because if it wasn’t for the cops we would be living in the Wild, Wild West in our neighborhoods," he said. "We can’t pick out certain incidentals that don’t go our way and act like the cops are all bad.... Do you know how bad some of these neighborhoods would be if it wasn't for the cops?”
His comments are in sharp contrast with those made by other black leaders on the Ferguson case. Rev. Al Sharpton and civil rights activist Jesse Jackson have both criticized the Ferguson decision and racial profiling by police. President Obama is scheduled to hold meetings with civil rights groups Monday on law enforcement and how to rebuild trust in black communities.
Other black athletes have also reacted to the Ferguson decision. Prior to Sunday’s kickoff against the Oakland Raiders, St. Louis Rams football players Stedman Bailey, Tavon Austin, Jared Cook, Chris Givens and Kenny Britt entered the field with their hands up, referring to the "hands up, don't shoot," rallying cry of Michael Brown supporters.
This PBS Newshour chart shows that a majority of grand jury witnesses agreed that Michael Brown reached into Officer Wilson's police car, but a majority also testified that Michael Brown had his hands up when he was fatally shot.
Barkley immediately drew praise from conservative media and bloggers. "Charles Barkley speaks the truth about Ferguson, calls out the media, and it’s EPIC," wrote Young Conservatives. "Former NBA star Charles Barkley slams Ferguson rioters, leftstream media and Obama," said the Tea Party News Network.
While Barkley's comments are a departure from that of some of his black colleagues, they shouldn't be surprising to those who know Barkley.
In 2013, Barkley famously said he agreed with the George Zimmerman acquittal in the shooting of Trayvon Martin. In July of last year, a Florida jury found that neighborhood watch leader Zimmerman, who is white and Hispanic, was not guilty in the shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin.
"That’s probably not a popular opinion among most people. But just looking at the evidence, I agreed with the verdict," he told CNBC host Maria Bartiromo on CNBC's Closing Bell about the Zimmerman verdict.
Twitter lit up with reaction to Barkley's comments, both angry and supportive.

Barkley is honest man. Have to respect his take on the #Zimmerman case and on racism.— Richard Golding (@24kt_GLD) July 18, 2013
Regardless of the feedback he gets on his Ferguson comments, Barkley made it clear on the Philadelphia radio show that he will continue to share his thoughts on the Ferguson decision and on race in America, telling listeners, "I ain't shutting up and I ain't backing down."

a bosnian dude was beaten to death by black kids with hammers
no truth to the rumors that they were under direct orders from the Croatian Sensation, Admiral Crumple, but yeah, about 50 members of the Bosnian community there took to the streets in protest. strangely enough they didn't destroy their own neighborhoods or loot any local businesses though. the media is largely silent in regards to this case, they must want to ease racial tensions
^yea the larger news networks are gonna avoid that story like a plague. It's bullshit that the PD is saying it wasnt racially motivated, when in fact there were potential witnesses who heard these "youths" chanting something about killing all white ppl. Also its not some strange concidence that a different caucasian person was targeted earlier in the night.
Apparently Bosnian lives don't matter either?
It's always amusing how the press or figures of authority word their commentary in these situations in a way that blames a victim or the deceased.
"Wrong place, wrong time"
"They ventured into a bad part of town and should've known better at that hour"
Are they implying that caucasian people need to treat predominantly black areas in this country like a safari where your personal safety may be in jeopardy? Because that's what it's sounding like.

Can't believe they let that choke hold cop off the hook. The footage clearly showed the man who was being arrested saying 'I can't breathe.' repeatedly. So they're going with 'this man's death is due partly to his poor general health'... really? Sure he was a fatso but really?
I have the feeling things are going to get much worse before they get better...
Meanwhile the 5th state is still waiting for these cop bastards who killed 27-year-old Jonathan Jacob last year to be finally put away for a long time. Doesn't look like it's gonna happen though.
Yeah, that's the way to go ... Gang up on a guy with drug induced mental problems arrested earlier that day and beat him to death. Pigs smh. They actually persecuted the victim's father (interviewed above) for releasing this footage as the powers that be were trying to cover this up. These cops' only mission was to immobilize the detainee so he could be given a relaxing medicine shot by a doctor. Ironically the detainee died upon the doctor's entrance.
The grand jury decision not to bring charges in the chokehold death of Eric Garner, announced Wednesday, was followed with public demonstrations in cities across the nation -- and the Internet.
Thousands of tweeters are up in arms against racial profiling and police brutality in America, issues that have been hard to ignore amid recent protests over the police killings of Michael Brown, Ezell Ford, Akai Gurley and others. #BlackLivesMatter and #HandsUpDontShoot have played a large role in addressing these issues on social media, but there's a new hashtag in town: #CrimingWhileWhite.
Instead of highlighting incidents of prejudice against people of color, #CrimingWhileWhite quickly zeroed in on white privilege, straight from the mouths of those who know it best.
The hashtag shines a bright light on an ugly truth -- see for yourself in the examples below.
