He also told the fellas in the audience that's what u do to get yah girls pussy wet, throw in r&b classics from the delfonics, the stylistics, smokey robinson, etc. Then proceeded to play "holla" which samples a track from the delfonics. TI's ILL BUT...
"It happens to the best of them: Artists get stuck in a rut and fail to evolve beyond their comfort zone. Such is the case on T.I.'s fourth album, "King," timed to coincide with the release of his feature film debut, "ATL." This is mostly an uptempo set that follows the "if it ain't broke" formula. Here, T.I. shows he can still dominate a song given quality production (Just Blaze, DJ Toomp), but the album does little to build on what we have heard before. Many tracks ("King Back," "Told You So") resemble lead single "What You Know," a brag-anthem that reinforces his superiority. Sprinkled in are rap ballads ("Live in the Sky" featuring Jamie Foxx) and scenario-driven cuts ("Why You Wanna"). Nobody is expecting a completely new and different sound from T.I., but for an artist of his caliber, a little creative growth does not seem like too much to ask.—Clover "
AND AS FOR FISHSCALE...
"It is rough being the Wallabee king, but Ghostface does it with ease on his fifth solo album, also his first Def Jam effort under Jay-Z's presidency. Fortunately, his originality has not been sacrificed to commercial concerns outside of the Ne-Yo-crooned single "Back Like That." Ghostface characteristically delivers wild neighborhood anecdotes involving crazy women, beat downs and drug maneuvers over classic soul samples. Utilizing cinema sound bites like Mr. T's "Rocky III" machismo, the rapper declares his greatness on "The Champ." "9 Milli Bros" is a renaissance Wu favorite, utilizing the Clan and even a weathered ODB vocal, while "Kilo" featuring Raekwon brings back the dual synergy of "Only Built 4 Cuban Linx." "Beauty Jackson" even finds Ghostface fearlessly singing, "You must be a special lady, and a very exciting girl." Overall, "Fishscale" is strong, with archetypal beats creating the definitive Ghost.—Hilary Crosley"

Whats up with Deck voice on 9 Milli Bros
Wu Forever
So Im assuming Fishscale is going to be #3 on the charts with that many units sold....I think 120k is good ( if those sales are legit ).
But if this momentum continues its going to look good for Ghost by the end of the week.
the article says that he is on target for 120K. not etched in stone yet. that would be a hell of a number for ghost nearly doubling the first week sales for pretty toney.
ya thats would be dope if GHOSTFACE pushed 120,000 units first week.....PRETTY TONY only did like 60,000 first week.....
...but who gives a fuck about record sales......just nice to see GHOST do some decent numbers
Thats what I was thinking.....Pretty Toney did half those numbers. And it would be good to see that he did push that many or more units....Quote:

But,I know to the some fans it dont matter but sales matter now for Ghostface it will be great news for him knowing that this album that he went way back on....going all out giving fans what they loved about him that Supreme Clientele/Ironman type of lyrics......that it sold very well.....and to keep giving us more!
it being on sale for mad cheap is probablly a cause if this many sales....I knew there had to be something to the fact that most of the copies of Fishscale were gone on the new release shelf.
someone said that there are 3 versions of The Champ?
Shakey Dog stays on repeat

What's the next single off Fishscale gonna be? Imagine if it was 9 Mili Bros.? With a video? Getting them all together for the video (minus Dirty) would kinda make up for the fact that the only ones in the studio together for the track was Ghost and Cappa.
Won't happen !!Do u really think that Def Jam will promote Wu as a whole {:(Quote:

I guess Fishscale is proof that you don't need RZA on the album what so ever to create a classic album. What do you guys think?
i agree
gza already did it,Quote:

And I'm really feeling only a couple songs, the rest are only okay. Bulletproof Wallets was much better.
That said, I'm really looking forward to the Doom callabo. That album should benefit from having a shorter list of producers.
Anyone have video from GHOST's performance on BET last night on 106 & Park???
Bulletproof Wallets is better than Fishscale, your kidding right? You didn't like the production by J Dilla and Pete Rock?Quote:
