Regarding the england game, the sad fact remains that we got owned by the germans. I was just as mad about the stupid ref's disallowing the second goal but bottom line, we lost 4-1. England were playing shit during this entire tournament, we should count ourselves lucky that we even got that far.

Damn England got done....I know it`s probably been said a million times already, but that disallowed goal was wrong...If fifa can`t get it right, then someone needs to be sacked, this whole world cup has been disgraceful,...had england scored that goal the whole complexity of the match would have changed, and maybe england wouldn`t have got rail roaded 4-1 ...man when that lampard second goal went in, I was jumping around like a teengage school girl at a justin bieber concert lol...then boom disallowed !!!!! smh .... Football is a game where a match can change fast as fuck, England lost 4-1, that doesn't mean they played bad, or were outplayed. I would say that Germany is a favourite against argentina. They and brazil (maybe netherlands also) showed the best performance.
But i hope argentina goes through.
Netherlands were far from convincing though, Robben really saved them.
Although i have enjoyed the world cup a lot, simulation remains such a terrible blight on the game.
Actually, the general lack of sportsmanship amongst these adult children is a disgrace.

While i don't agree with people who dismiss football for these reasons, i can see why they do.
I don't know what you can really do about simulation though, because in real time it's so difficult to determine the degree of contact when these pussies fall at the slightest touch.
^I think video could solve the worst simulations, like the ones which lead to penalty shots or red cards.
If they instituted suspension for diving in the premier domestic leagues through a video reviewing system, the motivation and habit to dive would be curbed. Something like the NHL does with suspensions. You wouldn't eliminate it overnight, but you have to nip it in the bud, and make the new generation of player's play with more honour. Diving is actually taught in many countries youth system's as a viable and important technique. If kid's see their favourite players getting suspended for simulation they might be less inclined to emulate them.
There are certain areas and countries that do it far less than other's in general and they should be commended. I don't notice the States, England, Germany, East Asian, Scandinavian teams diving or faking injury as much.
Unfortunately, Fifa's elite are filled with dinosaurs who still believe video replay is some cutting edge technology that is too experimental for real application.
