did you check out i, zombie? the art/coloring was expectedly brilliant, but the writing seemed kind of amateurish to me...but i felt the same way about american vampire to an extent and more recent issues of house of mystery...like stop trying to be clever and tell the damn story lol...i'm tentatively in for the second issue to see how it develops, but mike/laura allred are the selling point here imo
ya i did i got the variant (against my wishes, believe it or not) and ya i loved the art of course..even tho i thought the lettering was off in places, and ya the story hasnt grabbed me yet...back on vampire..i didnt hate the writing, and rafael albuquerque is the fuckin man..intense art.
^^^ya the art is excellent, i just read #1 and it didn't grab me enough...i might get the trade depending on what type of reviews it gets
