Spidey and Wolvie was really good. I hadn't heard of it coming out and picked it up on a whim and found really entertaining. I also really liked the amazing spidey this week...big improvement over the last issue. B&R was also awesome. The x-man was pretty disappointing but all in all the series is good and I did enjoy the hellbound spin-off from it. I also got and enjoyed Brightest day #1. I picked up the new Batman (698) just cause it's new storyline going into 700 and found it an alright read...sort of same old same old.
Wow!! It's going to be an expensive week!! I was just looking at this week's shipping list. Looks like lots of quality releases. Can't wait to see how Siege ends!!
interesting analysis of the demonology in batman
http://rikdad.blogspot.com/2010/04/b...emonology.html
interesting...i love that morrison's run is dense enough to facilitate this level of analysis
hell ya, no pun intended.
god, return was so fucking good..eloels, and u kno what? crucify me...but i liked siege.
I thought siege 4 was meh. having the helicarrier hit him.. they used that in iron man 2 the game..
amazing spiderman was awesome the art and story... wonder if Connors ate Billy or not?
except for flash, bruce wayne and ultimate spider-man, i was disappointed with everything i bought this week lol
i thought seige #4 and the series overall was pretty much a failure.
there was no context, no character development...the heroes barely got any lines...things happen with no explanation and had i not been reading the avengers tie-ins all the business with the hood and the norn stones as well as the sentry would've made no sense.
loki and osborn's motivations were barely explained...the whole thing was a meticulously, beautifully drawn mess. the writing was pretty terrible, which contrast that with bendis' ultimate spider-man work and it just boggles my mind. at least sentry is dead.
i'm done with the avengers.
return of bruce wayne #1 was good but felt a little light, but i want #2 right now, so i guess it suceeded. i just hope they aren't expecting me to buy that 'time masters: vanishing point' series, but morrison's kept his narrative fairly self-contained so far.
batman 699 was wack. the art was pretty but daniel's had enough chances, he is officially not a good writer.
the first 3 issues of siege were good but the ending was meh.
red hulk is thunderbolt ross and she hulk is betty ross.
^^^ahahahahahaha
i thought red hulk killed general ross, though? or was that flashback just a red herring?
jeez.
daredevils new costume

not feeling it...from the interviews i've read the shadowland thing sounds ill-conceived...but i prefer daredevil in his own self contained world.
did anyone else roll their eyes when the superhuman registration act was thrown out of panel just showing up on the times square ticker thing...i was daydreaming in class today about how underwritten and ridiculous seige #4 was...the dark avengers issue was so much better but they should've just been in the same comic.
So I caught up on house of m recently, and then someone told me about son of m, so I read that, and eventually I ended up at the silent war. After that though im not sure where the story line immediately continues?
