We'll see what Roy can do against Hopkins or Calzhage. I didnt see they fight, but the outcome did not surprise me.
idk i dont think trinidad was really that good ever
He beat De La Hoya and that really propelled him.
I think the judges ripped De La Hoya off
Oscar gave Bernard Hopkins the blueprint on how to beat Trinidad

Pavlik/Taylor
Calzhage/Hopkins
Mayweather/De La Hoya
Cant wait for those especially the first two.
Actually, De La Hoya has been ripped off a few times with decisions. But yea, you are absolutely right about the Trinidad one. I remember Oscar saying in his kinda gay way of talking "Oh man I thought I fought such a good fight".
You could tell he couldnt believe he didnt get the decision.
Hold up... you guys think De La Hoya was ripped off against Mayweather?
^ No bro, the Trinidad fight.
Anyone know where I can watch the Trinidad Jones fight? I couldn't watch it, I went to my gyms MMA cage fights instead :D
^ I don't have HBO
U need hbo and showtime for the big fights espn too
What are the predictions for this Saturday?
I have Pavlik by a 8-10 rd KO. If Pavlik doesn't finish him off early, I can see JT pulling away in the later rounds because of his ring experience (Pavlik can thank his 29 KOs for that).
I hate the fact that this is only a 10 round fight, but I think its going to go to decision....that being said, I am confident this will be a great fight of ebbs and flows. I'll go with Pavlik cuz he's a Northeast Ohio guy, but it could go either way. I can't wait for the fight.
pavlik by ko
i predict pavlik ko rd 5 .... taylor going up in weight while it was hard 4 him most of his career to make that weight not a good idea to have that in the clause as well as not title rematch , also taylor said he didn't train as hard last fight(heavy bag & sparring) and now he wants 2 get bigger ? ...maybe he's not training as hard again cuz if he did he's still be a middleweight maybe one of the reasons Manny left his corner. Also manny leaving his corner and his old trainer coming back right away jumping right back into the rematch of getting badly ko'd . also kelly is bigger the weight will help him more. all reasons i have money on pavlik
Another good fight. I had a feeling this would go the distance. I like that the judges got it right. Pavlik controlled the whole fight, and while Taylor had barrages, he really never hurt Kelly. Its kinda been a blow to Taylors ego, cuz he was touted as the next best thing, and Pavlik, a virtual unknown handled him pretty well twice.
I like both fighters...hopefully Taylor fights Calzhage this year sometime. And you gotta love Pavliks attitude of fighting the top contenders. This guy is a throw back and he is good for boxing. Gotta love the northeast Ohio guy.
I didnt realize Pavlik was only 25. He has had a impressive start to his career.
taylor v calzaghe?
dont think calzaghe would go for taylor, i mean calzaghe doesnt even need him at all. taylor is just there for the paper and not the gloves. <IMO
^ Calzaghe would kill Taylor.... Taylors great, but wouldn't last.
Pavlik and Taylor II was a great fight, but I missed it, for some odd reason I kept thinking it was January this month and not February, so I missed it.... I'm really fucked up to be thinking that it was for awile to.
IT was a good fight.
I haven't seen much Calzhage, cuz he doesn't fight in the states much and I dont have HBO or Showtime anymore, but everyone says he is an absolute beast.
I know this, i will be purchasing all of Pavliks fights.
im taking imbraghov 4 the upset vs dr.steelhammer and his glass chin
Finally, two heavyweights champions will fight against eachother. I think ESPN said its the first time since Lennox vs. Holyfield in 1999. However, I can't see Ibraigmov beating Klitschko. Ibraigmov drawed against Ray Austin two years ago. Last year, Klitschko KO'd him in the 2nd round! Klitschko has improved to become the best heavyweight since his two losses in '03 & '04.
Klitschko by late round KO.
Don't miss the story on Joe Louis after (or before) the fight. HBO usually does a good job with these type of boxing shows.
so this is wladimir klitschko....not vitali cuz vitali i always thought had a great chin.
So you didnt like what I said in another post, so you followed me to the boxing thread. Hmmm....
Anyways, we talk boxing in here....save the gay stuff for general chat.
Right now Wladimir is better than Vitali has ever been.
Why did they decide to do the fight at Madison Square Garden when they both are russian? Maybe for a slight advantage to Klitschko because he's living in the U.S?
Anyone looking forward 2 the Hayemaker/Enzo fight?
I can't get on to my usual boxing information website to check this, but does anyone know if Pavlik has and plans for a next fight? That guy is pretty good, I love the way he choose's his spots on opponents.
People were saying Pavlik's next contender may be Trinidad. Thats just a fight that doesn't make sense to me. I was thinking more of Kessler or Winky.
Sugar Shane Mosley signed to fight Zab Judah later this year.
