Cause the press/players/coaches/fans dont want to be stuck in a cold city for a full week. Who would want that when you could be in Florida or Arizona in nice weather, and on the beach n shit.
Altho we had the Superbowl 2 years ago here in Detroit, so I guess we were the exception. ALTHO, if we didnt play in a dome, we wouldent have had the game.
BTW, Ford Field is an amazing stadium, but I HATE how its in-doors. I agree with you that football should be gritty, and playin in a 75 degree air conditioned/heated building is far from it. Makes me envy Green Bay and Chicago.
I love nothing more than a rainy/snowy game, which is the average weather in Detroit. Altho I guess I do get to sit in the shitty weather when i goto Michigan State games.
