Obama condemns rioters as 'criminals and thugs'
http://www.clickondetroit.com/news/b...-city/32610488Quote:
President Barack Obama said Tuesday that "some police aren't doing the right thing" and that a lot of the tension between law enforcement and the black community stems from "a slow-rolling crisis" that has been brewing for decades. Fixing it will require more investment in cities, criminal justice reform, better funding for education and soul-searching for some police departments, he said.
Still, no angst can excuse what Obama called the behavior of "criminals and thugs who tore up" Baltimore.
"When individuals get crowbars and start prying open doors to loot, they're not protesting. They're not making a statement. They're stealing," he said.
"When they burn down a building, they're committing arson. And they're destroying and undermining businesses and opportunities in their own communities. That robs jobs and opportunity from people in that area."
Spot on!
You are reading this right now you lying pussy and stop visiting my page, you're powers are weak son.

Obama on the Baltimore Riots: It's About Decades of Inequality
Standing side by side with Prime Minister Shinzo Abe of Japan at the White House on Tuesday, President Barack Obama made some of his most detailed and forceful comments yet about economic inequality and police behavior during recent protests around the country. He told reporters that while there was no excuse for the violence that erupted in Baltimore last night, the unrest could be tied to decades of civil rights issues, income inequality, and a lack of opportunity. Here's an excerpt:
This is not new. This has been going on for decades. And without making any excuses for criminal activities that take place in these communities, we also know if you have impoverished communities that have been stripped away of opportunity, where children are born into abject poverty, they've got parents, often because of substance abuse problems or incarceration or lack of education, and themselves can't do right by their kids, if it's more likely that those kids end up in jail or dead than that they go to college, and communities where there are no fathers who can provide guidance to young men, communities where there’s no investment, and manufacturing's been stripped away, and drugs have flooded the community and the drug industry ends up being the primary employer for a lot of folks, in those environments, if we think that we're just going to send the police to do the dirty work of containing the problems that arise there without, as a nation, and as a society saying what can we do to change those communities to help lift up those communities and give those kids opportunity, then we're not going to solve this problem, and we'll go through this same cycles of periodic conflicts between the police and communities, and the occasional riots in the streets and everybody will feign concern until it goes away and we just go about our business as usual.
lol @ fake 'white privilege'
yes, all the unreported have to automatically = black. lol And no whiteys were killed controversially. :)
Regardless, whoever thinks people only care about Police Brutality when the victim is black, is ill-informed.Quote:
White Americans are the racial majority, with a 77.7% share of the U.S. population. Hispanic and Latino Americans amount to 17.1% of the population, making up the largest minority. African Americans are the largest racial minority, amounting to 13.2% of the population
Police Brutality is police brutality.
Any time a person is killed by a pig and the pig is not even charged with a crime - this is the outrage.
Are black people more likely to get killed by police, yes. there are stats that back that up. proportionally

Thats just the Fox News CURFEW COUNTDOWN
I'm ashamed of how both the people and the media are focusing on the rioters and the destruction they've caused v/s the actual protestors. What saddens me is the people's inability to distinguish between the two terms.
These protests just aren't about Freddie, Michael Brown, Eric Garner, or Martin, they're protesting about social inequality, decent employment, opportunity, change, and peace. Most importantly, the protest is to simply state that people need to be treated fairly, regardless of race, sexual orientation, and income.
It's about what's right and fair across the board. A cop taking a man's life because you have a problem with his race is definitely an ongoing issue that won't cease to end.
Regardless of a person's race, police brutality should not be tolerated in a country such as America. As for African-Americans, Native Americans, and Hispanics, to cops (mostly pigs), we're treated as second class citizens regardless of how much money we possess, our education level, our income, or what type if car we drive. It appears that it's "us" v/s "them".
We won't make it unless we all grow up and honor one another. From there, we can proceed to rise. Until then, the killings WILL continue.

^some obscure news site reporting, but the mass(hol)es aren't reading thefourthestate
when it's on msnbc, cnn, huffycuntpost, etc. THEN it becomes legitimate enough for the protesters to call it LIES
i would love for it to be true though, not that it would change anything. ferguson, baltimore, the next one and the next one are all going to happen regardless, at least until the aliens come this summer and we all band together to defeat them

Has anyone ever done their grocery shopping at a convenient store? How about a dirty liquor store or a Dollar Store? That's what many inner city residents have to endure due to no transportation and zero options. Most of the stores that were looted and burned were Korean owned. Citizens stated that they've felt not welcomed and constantly disrespected.
They've also stated that they don't hire anyone in the community and they don't give back. A Baltimore resident stated that there's a store he often goes to in the city. He's been going there for YEARS! One day, he needed a shirt for work. So, he asked if he could take it and then pay for it later. He figured since he's a regular, they'd allow him to take the shirt and then pay for it later. Well, they told him no with a straight look.
The people don't feel respected as people or as costumers.
Tommy Sotomayor weighs in.
Fuck that Tommy nigga
lol yea
Good luck trying to guilt trip Asian and Arab business owners into addressing the grievances of inner city black americans.
This is a capitalist society and they aren't obligated to hand out employment or be a charity. They come from extremely cut-throat economies oversea where not much emphasis is placed on polite interaction or their image to the community.
Lol. Yeah.
This morning, I was listening to NPR (as I do every morning) regarding what I stated. Although I don't necessarily agree that foreign inner city business owners should employ people just because, people should try to invest their money in products that are more quality.
To me, it's simple. If you don't like how liquor stores or other businesses are treating you, don't do business there, period. However, some people have no choice but to take the crap and they know it.
Lol. Sad, though.
Nobody is forced to go to a liquor store.
