How was the Tarver-Woods, Johnson-Dawson fights? I didn't get to watch them
yea i cant wait for the hopkisn-calzaghe fight....im going calzaghe in 9 by KO
hopkins by ud-i think hes has one great fight left in him
as for tarver man that dude is so overrated man he beat a past his prime roy jones and the one guy he should fight hes been ducking like roy has done b-hop for the last 10 or so years the only fast thing left on tarver is his mouth
cotto-pbf has to happen..i see pbf taking it but it wont be an easy one tho....
too bad Roy didnt fight better competition early on...the jury will always be out on him especially with those bad losses to Tarver. And him getting KO'd like he did in some of those fights.
^true
cotto v pbf would be a tasty platter on the boxing table.
despite what pbf would say, that fight would attract a lot of money.
tarver is whatever.
calzaghe v hopkins? hopkins is a legend....period
calzaghe is an underrated legend... period
hopkins is great, but i think calzaghe may edge this on points. i do not see a stoppage in the fight though.
I hope B-hop wins
CALZAGHE V BHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cant wait!!!!!!! u americans are lucky, u got the fight free on HBO, i still have to pay!!!!!!!!!!:(
I got Calzaghe stoppage round 10
damn id have to pay like 40€ just to see this match ! goddamn satellite !
where do u live alijannu?
gonna stay up 2 watch this one. coffee n cakes to stay up. got work tomorrow, but im used to this system. last fight i dedicated such time to was pbf v hatton.
hope this fight is entertaining i swear!!!
This fight is on HBO?
Decent fight.....Calzhage dominated the middle and second half of the fight. BHop had a few good rounds, but pretty much grappled his way thru a rather ugly fight.
Calzhage/Pavlik is my dream fight, but that probably won't happen.
Calzhage/Jones would be decent, but damn, why didn't Roy fight the top guys in his prime???
I loved this fight. It kept me on the edge of my seat. And this fight also shows how very extremely dirty of a fighter Hopkins really is with those 2 alleged low blows, and such.
wanna see it.
altho i wanted to see a KO !
i bet Bhop is mad now lol !
i thoght calzaghe won the fight!
What an ugly fight. I can see why Calzaghe got the SD, but I don't see how Giampa can only score 3 rds for B-Hop. I'm going to raise some eyebrows, but I actually think B-hop won the fight by a point. Yes, he did lose control in the middle rounds when he decided to stop throwing combos, but throughout the fight he landed the sharper and harder blows. Calzaghe landed more punches and at a nice rate, but he never really caught B-Hop. I'm sure Calzaghe is looking more rough than B-Hop today too. Anyways props to Calzaghe for winning a Hopkins style fight, and to B-Hop for taking the best suppermiddleweight to a SD at the age of 43. Two future hall of famers, no doubt.
Joe Calzaghe v. Roy Jones Jr? I have Calzaghe stopping the fight in one of the mid rounds. I just don't think beating a guy who hasn't fought in 3 years and was already coming off a bad lost was as special as people are making it to be (Kellerman). Although we'll see the next fight turn from anti Hopkins to pro RJJ.
I hope B-hop retires and hmm roy jones vs calzaghe I am going for the upset in this one if this goes down
joe is the real deal man!! dude has my respect now....sorry roy but i dont see u beating joe...he couldnt be tarvers overated ass...an im a fan of roy but i dont see it...6-7 years ago of course but not now.
I dont see Roy beating Calzhage either unless he clutches every time Joe comes forward like Hopkins did. I see Roy getting sent to the canvas again.
It would be a better fight tho, cuz Roy could still catch him.
Hopkins made that fight ugly. Too much clutching, I felt like i was watching a super heavyweight bout.
^Yea, but I thought Joe Cortez could of done a better job with the fight.
I think after seeing Calzaghes performance last night That Roy could go the distance, but I dont see a win. Calzaghe didn't have that knockout power, and thats usually the key to beating Roy's glass jaw. Other than that Roy would probably play mind games with him.
Yea, Calzhage didnt really hurt hopkins...neither guy really hurt eachother. I think part of it was BHop clutching and keeping Joe from those combination flurries. He was always off balance cuz of it.
But i really dont like Roy Jones...never did. I loved it when he got knocked the fuck out...i'd like to see it again, although i think Pavlik/Calzhage would be the best fight.
Seems as though the only way to beat Roy Jones is to have knock-out power. Like I said, he has a glass jaw, but if you dont have that power, Roy will sit and there and toy with ya and make look ridiculous.
thats true, joe doesnt have the KO power, it looks like he slaps half the time.
but hes very conditioned and can easily last 12 rounds with gas still in him.
problem with joe is that hes sometimes boring. against jeff lacy he was amazing, and against bhop kinda less amazing.
having said that, it would be good for him to finish off with roy.
who'd win?
joe definitely. i mean roy fought whom?when? roy hasnt been around for a while and hasnt been tested by credible opponents lately.
roy v joe would be a 12 rounder with joe winning with points. no stoppage here, because joe isnt known as a hard hitter, just a damn good boxer.
Pavlik v joe would be beautiful.

there's like 5 or 6 parts, enjoy homie.
you can't rep, only members with vatican status can rep. Just so you know.
No problem on the link. Isn't it crazy how Hamed practically dissapeared from boxing after this ass-whooping? It would have at least been interesting to see him in against Morales and some other top contenders from that time but I think that Barrera literally beat the fight out of Hamed lol. Peace-
for a 43y/o to make the 'undefeated' calzaghe look not too impressive barely winning and scoring a k.o. in the first, i thought b-hop's rep aint go down too much. like emanuel steward was sayin, hopkins never 'clearly' lost any of the fights he didnt win. all 5 of them.
Well....Hopkins is the KING of taking fighters out of their fight and making the fight look ugly/unimpressive. Maybe if he didn't clinch after EVERY exchange Joe could have let his hands go a little more? I know you meant knockdown and not KO but still, that was pretty much a flash knockdown with Joe being off-balance (it was a perfect right by Hopkins, though). Hardly something to be embarrassed about. Hopkins should be more embarrased for pulling that huge bitch move with the NON-low blows. The old man needed a break cause his legs are leaving him quickly. We're basically agreeing except I think that Bernard's stock did drop a bit. Peace-
^ i hear ya, it was funny when b-hop was takin his sweet time for that weak low blow.. but when the fight continued, hopkins owned him the rest of the round..i guess the breather worked..lol i still dont think the fight affected b-hop's status much tho. now i really would love to see ZAGHE vs KELLY
