Survivor: Nicaragua will be home to a football coach legend. Jimmy Johnson, former Dallas Cowboys coach and current analyst on the Fox NFL Sunday show, has signed on for the latest installment of the hit reality show.
The series is being taped in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua and as one of the oldest contestants, we don't think his chances of winning aren't so great.
But the man led his team to TWO Super Bowl victories. That has got to count for something, right?

Steelers Nation Mourns Loss Of Kaye Cowher

The Steelers Nation is in mourning today following the death of Kaye Cowher, the wife of former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Bill Cowher, after a private battle with cancer.
She was 54.
During her husband's 15 years with the Steelers, Kaye Cowher spent most of the time out of the spotlight; but she was never far from the mind of her husband.
After reaching the pinnacle of his NFL career with the Super Bowl XL victory after 14 seasons spent coaching the Steelers, so many thoughts must have flooded his mind -- from the years of frustration to the hardships endured.
He would later tell KDKA that he knew it had all taken a toll – especially on his wife and daughters. "They were dealing with it out in the public, where we're more isolated; 'cause we just go to work every day and we work seven days a week in that building, where our families are out in the public and they have to deal with all the scrutiny."
"The week of the playoff games, I certainly didn't go to Giant Eagle every day," Kaye Cowher said during an interview with Bob Pompeani, "because that's where I get attacked the most, in the produce aisle! 'Who's he gonna play, Deuce or Jerome?' I'm like, 'I don't know!'"
Bill Cowher and Kaye Young met at North Carolina State in the mid 1970s. She was a basketball star; he was a linebacker.
They had three daughters -- each a gifted athlete.
Kaye spent a lot of time coaching her girls; but resisted any temptation to armchair coach the Steelers. "Oh absolutely not," she laughed during a KDKA interview. "No, we enjoy it!"
"I've always said Kaye's got a pretty good perspective of things," her husband chimed in, "and she's got a good feel -- she's been in athletics, has a good feel for the game, so I mean I kinda use her as a sounding board a lot, pretty often -- not so much from a play selection standpoint, just kinda from an approach standpoint"
From whatever standpoint, she was fully involved on game days as she described to Patti Burns before her husband's first trip to the Super Bowl in 1996. "Oh, I'll be a nervous wreck as usual!"
"Something about game days," she added. "My husband has this natural calm about him; I think that he works so hard during the course of the week in preparation that on game days he's calm and collected and I'm the nervous wreck in the family! I can't wait for it to start and I can't wait for it to be over but I know our team will show up and they'll play hard."
Kaye Cowher worked hard for charities including Family Resources, which focuses on child abuse prevention. "I know that our family is strong and solid," she told KDKA during a fundraiser, "and I would like to see every family have some of the things that we all want for our kids."
It was their family that Bill Cowher said led him to leave the Steelers in 2007.
"The only sidelines I'm gonna be sitting on will be probably up in the stands, watching my kids play basketball in the next couple of years, so I'm looking forward to that," he said during a news conference announcing his resignation.
Maybe the decision to leave was his alone; maybe not.
"I'm looking forward to the years when the girls are in college and Bill and I have more time together," Kaye told KDKA a few years earlier, "so don't expect to see him on the sideline at 67 like Marv Levy! No! I said it here!"
To that, her husband jokingly replied, "I have no choice!"
As he left the Steelers in January of 2007, Cowher thanked his wife of more than two decades.
"To my wife, my soul mate and my friend: the sacrifice that she's made and the love and support that she has given me through the years, she's been my backbone."
Kaye Cowher is survived by her husband, Bill, their three daughters, Meagan, Lauren and Lindsay, and a twin sister, Faye.
The Cowher family is asking for privacy at this difficult time and they have not released any information on Kaye's death.
A service is scheduled to take place on Monday in North Carolina.

Bengals president hints at contract offer to T.O.

Cincinnati Bengals president Mike Brown confirmed his team's interest in free-agent wide receiver Terrell Owens on Monday and indicated that an offer had been made.
"It's up to him," Brown said at the Bengals' training-camp media luncheon. "We are talking to him. We have some interest."

NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora reported Saturday that the Bengals and the St. Louis Rams are two of several teams that have maintained contact with Owens this offseason.
The Bengals initially expressed interest in signing the six-time Pro Bowl receiver when he met with the team in March, with Brown telling the team's official Web site that "I found him polite, nothing that has been said about him. We like him as a player." But later that day, the Bengals signed wide receiver Antonio Bryant, which seemed to diminish the chance that Owens would join the team and his friend, Chad Ochocinco, who are both represented by agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Ochocinco has aggressively taken to Twitter all offseason to push for Owens' signing.
"Coming soon to a city near you if your playing the Bengals, Batman = T.O. Robin = Esteban," Ochocinco tweeted Saturday, not long after he wrote: “Be blessed today folks, i am so excited for training camp, especially since Batman is coming to join me."
Bengals coach Marvin Lewis denied to the team's official Web site last week that the team needed Owens, saying "I don't want to speak (about Terrell). We've been down that road. I don't have a concern that we need to add anybody (at receiver)." But on Monday, Lewis changed his tune, saying the Bengals' goals and Owens' goals "match up."
Brown also was asked Monday about a contract extension for Lewis, who has one year remaining on his current deal, but didn't reveal much.
"Marvin knows I hold him in high regard," Brown said. "But it's an internal matter and I won't discuss it (publicly)."
That rookie Bryant on the Cowboys refused to carry Roy Willam's equipment and stuff, like all the rookies are supposed to do during their first season. I think it might be a long season for him. lol
I'm not sure if T.O. can still make an NFL team. Maybe he should go to the arena league.

Cincinnati: Terrell Owens is coming to town.
Owens, the outspoken wide receiver and reality TV star, agreed to a one-year contract with the Bengals, a team source told NFL Network insider Michael Lombardi on Tuesday.
NFL Network insider Jason La Canfora confirmed that Owens will be paid $2 million in base salary and could earn an additional $2 million in incentives. Owens received $6.5 million from the Buffalo Bills last season.

An official finally admitted to making a bunch of bad calls which helped the Steelers beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl a few years back.
i admit that there were calls that definitely went in the steelers favor that should not have been called, but that doesn't mean the seahawks would have won if they didn't make those bad calls.
Normally, I would agree with you. Not in this instance. The Seahawks would have absolutely won that game if the officiating was done right. I remember being shocked at the way everyone just kind of had a "Oh well" kind of attitude about it afterwards. I was outraged, and I don't even like the Seahawks. Honestly, I nearly stopped watching the NFL. I admit I enjoy it too much to stop, but that made me consider it. The Steelers had a great season, but they had no business holding that trophy up after that game. Shit made me sick!Quote:
