What I also read is that the Russian air force is not all what everybody expected it to be. And their planes are easily being downed by US provided material. (Was is that Su-37 or something that was supposed to be this insane fighter, but they only built like 10 because of money and slow progress?)

What you also see, is that people are done with Putin within Russia. I think this could be one of the few things that could stop the war, a revolution from within Russia.

Europe is indeed heavily depended on Russian gas & oil. But Russia is also heavily depended on this money. Right now, for example in The Netherlands, people are more than happy to pay higher prices for energy from elsewhere or look for different options. For Germany I see this maybe leading to a revising of the plans for scrapping nuclear energy. Germany, au contraire to France, is trying to phase out all nuclear reactors by 2025. France is actually investing in them.

If Putin had only taken to the two separtist regions, nobody would have batted an eye. Now he has almost levelled an entire country, that does not want him, which has to be rebuilt. Is he going to open his own bankaccount or those from his rich friends form rebuilding Ukraine after bombing the shit out of it?

What I know and what you should accept is that ukraine is weak. Ukraine is finished. Best case scenario for them is a partitioning of its east to Russia and a neutral west that’s doesn’t provoke Russia.

Worst case scenario, they allow A US led NATO insurgence that will then truly annihilate the country.

Your problem is your conflict is with Dooch, you’ve long since abandoned the facts of the situation.

The US lies about Russia being its peer to lace europe and central asia with bases. Russia is a dead country. But Putin is still going to beat Europe every single time because he's hardbody as a matter of mentality rather that physical capacity.

I also think he has a lot of dirt on business ppl and politicians that run the west and they're dependent on public imagine to function. The US will just buy more oil from Saudi Arabia, which is currently shelling Yemen in another US aided conflict.


Our gas prices are already at record highs and this move may spike them further. Maybe not. Hopefully they don’t try to re-institute price control measure like they did under Nixon which led to supply shortages.

True. The USA is one of the world's largest oil producers and we have over 60 million barrels in stock for situations like this. Then again, I don't want to see $6/gal gas either.

Gas inflation isn’t really all that related to Russia. We don’t get much of ours from there. But it’s like the cherry on top of the already high prices.

I don’t think Putin cares about American sanctions. He’s more than likely prepared for all of them and knew this was inevitable.
