OSU been choking alot lately.
I put most of the blaim on tressel for playing scared.
We had at least 4 or 5 chances to put the game away, but the calls were so conservative i thought Rush limbaugh was going to pop out of Tressel's ass.
USC aint even a great team this year. We shut down their running game after their O Line and backs got all that praise.
Pryor has a loooooooong way too go if he wants to be a QB. He is lost out there. They shut just let him run wild.
And he is not an option QB, they need to stop with all that.

lebron said the same thing. the sooner the season starts, the sooner his contract is over and he can get to a real city and play for a real team.
im not seeing why everyone is hyping matt barkley as the the next big thing in USC? he wasnt doing anything for 3 1/2 quarters and that last drive could be credited to mcknight as much if not even more than barkley. i think the crowd indeed got to him.
im not convinced at all.
that boise/fresno game was fun to watch. both teams going up and down the field.
EDIT: i dont know what to think about the michigan game. we gave up a lot on the ground to a scrub team. we were able to pull away but its eastern friking michigan. those guys shouldnt be mandhandling michigan up front. maybe they were overlooking them cuz they were able to keep them from scoring in the second half. and another thing...

Interesting stat, USC has lost 6 games against non-ranked opponents in the last 4 years. Every year there is always that one team that upsets them

its hard to win without a quarterback. last year was a flook, this year they just arent very good. when you cant throw the ball and every team can just play the run, its gonna be hard to beat anyone. i said they'd lose 3 games this year. im updating that to 4.

They have only won it once, and for all the shit Ohio State and Oklahoma take, USC tanks it against crap opponents.
Washington was 0-12 last year.
USC isnt a contender this year. Both QBs are too young, the running game is overrated too. Or just underachieving.
USC will get a pass for these hiccups as long as they cream legit competition, but not this year. this wasnt a hiccup, they just arent good. the have a excellent running attack but i dont care how good you are on the ground if you dont have a passing game to keep defenses honest, you're only gonna have so much success against a stacked defense.
USC success has come from being a balanced offense, which they certainly are not this year. i think notre dame is gonna beat them this time around.
If you get beat by Notre Dame, you know you stink.

I'm also a michigan fan and I am happy we are much improved. The defense concerns me, if we get a few injuries, we are in serious trouble. They were gashed two weeks in a row and it's tough to win in the big ten without a good run d. Dernard is still a month in the program he will get better in the decision making catagory and accuracy, but I agree, Tate is the man. I would like to see tate and dernard in the game at the same time more often, defenses would be too confused. I think we will be 8-4 this season. I would be happy with that.
Michigans defense is awful. They have beat up on the directional Michigans, but both of those teams suck.
Notre Dame blew that game and did whatever they wanted against the Michigan defense.
Plus Notre Dame defense is also awful.
They are improved cuz they are learning the system, but they have yet to be tested and they have yet to go on the road against a big ten opponent.
They are definitely better offensivelly than they were last year, but still far from being real contenders for the Big Ten title.

USC played like crap...So did Washington actually. UW was 0-12 last year, but that was thanks to Ty Willingham. Not that it would have even been a bowl game year, but should have won at least 4 ffs. It was an ugly game, but a fun game to be at. Hopefully UW doesn't pull a Stanford and make that game the only good part of the year...

Miami should've been ranked because alot of other teams were falling and they beat a few ranked teams in a row. But they definitely weren't the great team everyone was starting to give them credit for. The rain today also didn't help much but Miami practices in worst so no excuse.

Yeah, Jimmy played PF and sometimes Center for UM Basketball. I was actually a Jimmy Graham fan. His work ethic on the court was unmatched, though his skills were. Tough rebounder, good put-backer. It's a shame that some Canes fans were putting it all on him. The defense put you in that 21-0 hole, not Jimmy Graham.
Hopefully the 'Canes don't get lazy after surviving the first 4 games.. 3-1 is real good too me.
