no thats a good order although i might throw in the resurrection fo Ra's after & Son but its not as consequential.

the wake is good, but kind of unecessary, imo
ya i avoided reading it for a while cuz i had a feeling what happened would happen, eloels, its one of the best things ive read too
^^ I really have to take some time and read the Sandman series. A friend of mine bought all the absolute hc's and sold me all the paperbacks for $10 each! A year ago and I still have to crack open volume 1!! Shameful!!

^^lol yea I know it!! I'm just started tackling Preacher this weekend when I'm done that I'll dedicate myself to Sandman.
Anyone recommend any X-Men related stories? I read the Astonishing run this weekend and I'm about to start the New X-Men Morrison run. I'm looking for either must read classics or any current stuff that is worthwhile.
the claremont/byrne stuff is classic (if you don't mind the retro/trashy writing style of 60s-80s marvel)--these are the best older x-men stories imo:
dark phoenix saga
days of future past
god loves, man kills
from the ashes
wolverine mini series
fall of the mutants
inferno
there are others, but these are all collected in some form, and are basically the core of what x-men's been about ever since.
the new x-force series is good...the allred/milligan x-statix/x-force is one of my favorite marvel series ever (what i've read of it) and the entire thing is getting an omnibus in november or december, but that's definitely not the typical x-book.
