Tyson was a freak of nature. To carry that much muscle and still have that type of hand-speed was amazing. And he was extremely nimble for a heavyweight. The waist and head movement to slip punches was impeccable. In his prime, when he was still trained by Rooney he was impossible to hit. He didn't get enough credit for his footwork. The way he was able to jump from angle to angle was bananas. Boxing is all about timing. It's obvious his sparring partner has longer arms but watch how Mike out-jabs him, and that's a strong jab. He stops him in his tracks with just a jab. I've always said it - a motivated Tyson in his prime, on the nights he beat Berbick, Frazier and Spinks, would have beaten any heavyweight dead or alive.
The god Mills Lane with a KO.
JChavez, Mike Tyson was my favorite boxer. I used to love seeing him knock boxers out quick LOL. I saw his documentary movie Tyson and it was very good. I also like Mike Tyson movie that Michael Jai White and Malcolm Jamal Warner who was Theo on The Cosby Show did.
LOL@BrokenWrists picture of Don King and Mike Tyson hahahahahahahaha. What's up with Mike's shirt? LOL. Mike made me laugh when he talked about Don King in his documentary movie and he said he beat up Don in Beverly Hills, California really bad because Don owes him a lot of money hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Don deserved to get his ass kicked because he has cheated a lot of boxers outta their money. I'm ashamed to say he's from my hometown Cleveland, Ohio. Ving Rhames did a movie about him and I haven't seen it. Did ya'll hear about Floyd Mayweather and Ronda Rousey beefing? Ronda thinks she could beat him LOL.
Iron Mike and Julio Cesar Chavez are my two favorites of all-time. When these two headbangers where in the squared-circle I wouldn’t move for nothing. I love come-forward, aggressive boxers, and these two were two of the best at it. I remember when Chavez fought Edwin Rosario (Tyson was in Rosario’s corner during fighter introduction) and beat the hell out of him, Tyson said Chavez was a beast. For a beast like Tyson to call you a beast is the utmost compliment.
I still watch Tyson fights or his greatest hits on YouTube. The guy’s hand-speed was out of this world. A man that big shouldn’t be that fast or nimble. And when he got inside, where the punches only travel a short distance, he was unstoppable. He was just so explosive. And he threw punches so damn hard!! Even if fights only lasted a minute, we were content cause someone’s face got mangled. Another thing about Mike was his body punching. You had never seen a heavy-weight attack the body like he did. Even now, you rarely see guys from 168 lbs. and up going to the body consistently. Mike was the perfect fighter. It’s too bad he liked to party too hard. It was that lifestyle that cut his career short. No way in hell a Buster or Holyfield should have beaten him. Tyson’s skills and technique were superior.
I too have seen every documentary/special on Mike. I also thought Jai White played an exceptional Mike in the movie.
It's messed up Mike abused Robin Givens because Robin is fine and she's aged well. I was watching her in Boomerang movie with Eddie Murphy and Halle Berry last week and I love that movie. I know Eddie enjoyed his sex scenes with Robin LOL. I think Robin is the best woman Mike had because I've seen his other 2 wives and they aren't cuter than Robin.
Mike Tyson Boxing at 15 Golden Gloves
Still very unrefined (lunge rather than cut spacing to land straight rights) but you can already see the savagery and that mind blowing power. It never gets old watching Tyson morph into a beast and stalk his prey. And people tend to forget that he wasn't too shabby at cutting the ring.
Yo Charles, Givens was nice (just saw her in A Rage in Harlem with Forest Whitaker a couple of nights ago) but I think her marriage with Tyson was a sham. Her and her Doberman mom wanted to take Tyson to the cleaners but a Don of a King beat them to it.
Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. You're right. You called Robin's mom a dog LOL. Robin did look good in A Rage In Harlem. I like when Forest was massaging her feet and she put her foot on his lips and she was moving her foot back and forth across his lips LOL. She said are you a virgin? He said no I ain't no virgin. What kind of question is that? She said i'll take that as a yes LOL. She said I could teach you. He took the picture down off the wall of his mom before they had sex hahahahahahahahaha. His mom looked like a man LOL. He licked Robin's booty LOL. Black actor Bill Duke directed that and he's a good director and actor. He also directed Deep Cover and Hoodlum with Larry Fishburne. I like Bill's movies Commando with Arnold Schwarzenegger, Action Jackson with Carl Weathers, Sharon Stone and Vanity and Exit Wounds with Steven Seagal, rapper DMX, Isaiah Washington, Eva Mendes, Michael Jai White and Anthony Anderson.
I wasn’t implying that she was a dog but what I perceived as a nasty, vicious lady. And hell yeah Forest was a virgin! He was as timid as Mark Fuhrman at the Million Man March. I hope Forest didn’t put Jesus next to his mom so He could make her look better. He was able to resurrect Lazarus but God himself couldn’t help Forest’s moms. She was a cross between Tyson and Pancho Villa. If that would have been me in the licking of the cake scene they would have thrown me off the set cause I would have been gnawing like Marv Albert at them perfectly shaped biscuits. Hoodlum is one of my favorite moves.
Good scrap this Sunday on CBS between Jamie McDonnell and Tomoki Kameda for the WBA Bantamweight (118 lbs.) strap on the undercard of the Dirrell vs Rubio fight. McDonnell is the titleholder and this is a rematch from a hectic match they had a few months ago, where Kameda dropped McDonnel but he lost via unanimous decision (114-113 on all three scorecards). Been keeping an eye on Kameda. He’s only 24 yrs. old but he fights like a seasoned veteran. He’s from Japan but he left at the age of 15 to live and train in Mexico. He’s been there since, and has adapted very well. His boxing alias is El Mexicanito (The Little Mexican). The guy speaks Spanish better than a lot of my Mexican heads. He has great hand-speed and power. Just good overall boxing skills. I think he wins tomorrow and becomes a dominant force in that division.
This fight was epic.
LOL@JChavez saying how he would've had sex with Robin Givens in A Rage In Harlem hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Yeah I wanna have sex with her too and she still looks good. I remember the sex scene she had with Eddie Murphy in Boomerang when she made his toes curl hahahahahahahahaha. Then she put $200 on his lamp dresser because he had bought tickets to a play and he wasted the money because she didn't show up. I thought that was nice of her to pay him back. Robin has done 3 movies with Mari Morrow(I want her bad and I love lightskin black women)called Book Of Love, Flip The Script and Restraining Order. JChavez, check out Book Of Love. That's a good movie. Salli Richardson, Richard Jones and Treach of rap group Naughty By Nature are also in it. Treach and Mari were a couple. I love Salli Richardson too. She was in A Low Down Dirty Shame with Keenan Ivory Wayans and Jada Pinkett and Posse with Mario Van Peebles, Tiny Lister and Big Daddy Kane.
