and as far as x-men first class goes, i would say wait for dvd.

magneto & xavier were awesome. i cant front on that.

but the kids they got to play the x men were really, really bad.
it was like watching a teen nick sitcom. just awful acting at its awfulnest (new word. lol)

every time beast took off his shoes and showed his hand feet sprawl out was unintentionally hilarious. so very dumb. and they showed that shit twice i think.

if it would have been the magneto solo movie it would have been so much better.
but they used c list mutants. the powers looked shitty. and they introduce a black mutant just to...... i wont say, but you can probably guess.

good ideas in it though, just executed poorly. i really dont think it was much better than x3 or wolverine. wolverine was shitty story wise, but the acting was way better than first class.

x2 still rules the x-men flicks as far as im concerned. better luck next time.

and i really need to stop reading batman, inc first when i get my comics because it makes everything else look like shit...i've been digging FF though...when did barry kitson's art get so good?

3 marvel limited series i can think of off hand are

wolverine by chris claremont & frank miller.
a moody story set in japan. it made wolverine a much deeper character than the berzerker, hot head he pretty much was in x-men comics up til that point. easily one of the best wolverine stories. they want to make a movie of it (shudders).

daredevil:man without fear by frank miller & john romita jr.
a deeper telling of matt murdocks origin by the man who made the character what he is today. he dont even appear in costume til the last page. good shit.

punisher max: born by garth ennis and darick robertson
the story of frank castle in vietnam. very graphic. ennis wrote the punisher better than anyone.

lol, i think aaron's pulling it off, there have been some genuinely creepy moments in this story...i don't think it flowed smoothly from the last issue, though

schism was pretty good, anyone else notice the ahmajeniad or whatever lookalike had 6 fingers lol
