The Pillage is tight with the help of the beats the Wu Elementz provided to flow with Cappa. Slang Editorial 6/6, Pillage 6/6, Run 3.5/6, Blood 2.5/6, Supa ninjaz One of the tightest Ugod verses 5/6, MCF 5.5/6, Splish Splash rugged beat 5.5/6, Oh-Donna Ghosts on the track & morbid sample of chick 5/6, Milk 4.3/6 heard it too may times but tight, South of border fucking tight twist of beat in the middle of track just make the track 4.8/6, Check funny/clown beat but comes off nice & if u in the garbage, check for a nigga 5/6, Dart throwing 3/6, Young hearts sound like it was made in the same era as van dammes AWOL 2/6, E is E tight in beats & lyrics 5.1/6, Pump fist is a tight song with Cappa's crew and a banging beat at that 6/6, Black Bwoy nice track, i like the emotion Cappa put into lyrics-" deep thoughts, i dont take no shorts minds put on lease like expensive imports" & Tekhita got some nice vocals & the bass is banging 6/6. Just buy it - its another Wu collection out of......
This album is a hot wu album however after a while if you listen to it constantly it gets boring so leave it for a while and its a banger again
this album is sick beats are off the hook rymes are crazy
peace 4.4.4. trumpets
Cappa best album! The production here is just bananas. Slang Editorial is one my favorite beats of all time. Goddamend, where the hell is Tru Master these days? If am not mistaken, this is the first time we get to here Killa Bams (now known Solomon Childs) whom bassically destroyed every track he was on. South of The Border is next to Slang Editorial one of my favorites tracks on the album. Another fav's are Run, Oh Donna & Black Boy. And who can forget MCF? And the "original" Run wich to me is Cappadon best solo perfomance.. EVER!
Oh fuck those bullets am losing my pants
Only fault on this album is the fact that my man gets easily overshadowed by the guest apperaences. Sure, overshadowing Meth is one hell of job ("the only mc hiphop singer to tell america to kiss his killa bee stinger!" he killed with that line) but even U-God does better job than Cappa on his own track. Not that he was completly overshadowed but this happens a bit too often.
The Pillage is mos def a banger, thanx to his ridicously great production. Evendough Capp still manage to bring that heat on the mc tip.
and remember kids, If you ever in Neverland, check for a nigga
classic, it belongs in the Wu hall of fame for sure.
This album is a little overrated IMO. A good album but I still feel that there is something missing. Like a young man coming in for a quicky I feel a little unsatisfied by this. 6.5/10
a classick
just got dis album and i was hooked from tha 1st track classic!!
Terrorize y'all from every direction
Call up Hot 97 for protection
Cappadonna, from the Wu-Tang Clan
Spotted last night in an all black van
Coming down the block with guns out the windows
Licking shots off every time the wind blow...
Yeah what more can you say . This album is one of the best wu fam albums of all time in my opinion if you don't got it , go cop it !!!
Peace.
probably the best killa bee album

9/10 (rounded, close to 8/10) great LP
classic, classic album. I really like this, I need to say, I'm a big fan of cappa, and like all of his albums actually.. but this one, straight classic.. Milk The Cow is really dope, but the 2 best tracks is: Black Boy & Supa Ninjaz.
People hate way to much on cappa's second release, the yin and the yang. I gotta admit it's not like 8-9-10/10 but i'll give it a 6.5-7/10.. best tracks on ying and the yang:
The Grits (really like this track)
Super Model (stupid lyrics, but really dope beat)
War Rats (dope beat, and cappa is on point)
Bread Of Life (personal classic)
Love Is The Message (this track just has that feeling.. i don't know, rae is def on point)
Big Bussiness (was aight, nothing special, but I liked it)
The rest was just stupid tracks.
The Pillage - 9/10
Yin And The Yang - 6.8/10
Is 97' mentality only on the european release of the pillage? 97' mentality is a def. 10/10
Ahh see, that's very dope lyricism from Cappadonna. One problem, the flow and voice! His flow killed it for me.Quote:
