I was listening to these new tracks posted and thinking exactly that. He gets on that off beat funk and rips it wit EASE every time.

Del's a chill guy, met him at an El-P show when he was touring for I'll Sleep When Your Dead. didnt perform, he was just hanging out with friends

this is pretty good. i think better than all his recent stuff lately. which i thought was all decent, some of the beats on his recent stuff were eh. they are pretty decent here. although the album tails off a little at the end.

my main gripe on his recent stuff was that his voice was sounding raspy, like he smoked a pack of newports right before he recorded them. ironically the first time i noticed him sounding like that was on the wu-tang mets the indie culture or whatever that album was called. its seemed liked everything hes done since then has had that sound in his voice.


but on this his voice sounds a lot cleaner on this, almost like both sides of the brain.


(which makes me wonder a tiny bit, if by 'golden era', this is actually raps he had recorded back in the day aka the golden era. but i dont really believe that)
