but if you think rza is half steppin, maybe its cuz he got his hands involved w/ so many other projects like movie scores and acting, which speaks to his demand
yeah, "8 Diagrams" is a brilliant album but it isn't what most expected though.. i love it too though, and did so from the first time i heard it - production on that shit was genius.
I find this one hard to answer. My favourite beats are by RZA (LS and OB4CL), but Premo has more dope beats to his name.

Look, I like both of these guys. These days, RZA shows glimpses of his old style, meaning if he REALLY wants to do his thing , he will. Primo, makes ANYONE sound good, including the Black Eyed Peas. RZA not working with too many outside of the Wu camp doesnt mean anything. As for anyone to say , Primo isnt capable of making a beat like Glaciers of Ice, has no idea of what they are talking about. Only ONE knows if Primo is capable of doing so and thats GOD and you arent him. And for you who said, "whoever thinks that premo is better has no knowledge or feeling of/for music and beats-sorry", you are a JOKE! YOU need to go get Gang Starr, Group Home, Jeru The Damaja, Krumb Snatcha, Verbal Threat, BIG, NAS, Jay-Z, etc,etc. How old are you anyway????? You know what, age shouldnt matter. Go listen to Premier's work.
In the end, I'm very appreciate of being aloud to listen to BOTH of these men's great work.

Primo for me, your pretty much are guaranteed a dope beat with primo and that has always been the case with him. These days with RZA its like a roll of a dice

those that say premier isn't diverse i dont think are really familiar with his catalog, dudes got a LOT of varied sounding beats. both of these cats are hip hop music at its finest.
premier got SO many bangers with SO many different dope mcs. but, rzas reign in the 90s (36 chambers & all the solo wu projects up til and including forever) is arguably one of the best not only in hip hop, but just in music period.

rza prolly has better experience with actual instruments since thats what he's all about right now. nobody does the cuts like premo though that dude is consistant. the majority of the time both stay on the same sound though. they are known for havin there signature sounds.... versatile wise you should throw muggs in there. because if you listen to shit like soul assassins vol 1 there are beats on there that sound like rza beats. muggs doesn't cut shit up like premo though.
i would call it a bie as well and just say that i think muggs does a more variety of beats than either.
