Sounds close to sleep paralysis.
Sounds close to sleep paralysis.
I HAD SLEEP paralysis one time i didnt know what it was. i woke up(not completely) and i couldnt move my left arm i tried and tried and treid to move my arm and i couldnt until i completely woke up.
what i am talking about is different. im not paralyzed.
i just feel currents going through my body and i think my mind state controls it.
i keep telling myself one of these days im going to follow it and just go with it but when it hapens i get scared and wake up vuz im afraid ill die, like if i go i wont be able to come back
yeah it sounds like you're right on the verge of projecting if you really wanted to...for some people it just comes more natural. in Astral Dynamics he talks about what sleep paralysis may be...he says that you become conscious in your immobilized body while its projected double is having a spontaneous projection...in other words, you're on the other side of the astral projection...this is known as the mind-split effect...when you're projecting you have two separate currents of consciousness: the projected double and the physical body, and it's not uncommon to experience a flickering back and forth between these two currents in a projection situation. so waking paralysis may happen when "you" have already projected but you wake up in your physical body...
About those Akashic Records, I've heard a lot about them, but have yet to study them in depth. How would we access them? Is it a case of deep meditation? Or is it a case of of a serious trance-like state like the ones Edgar Cayce experienced?
when i get it (multiple times every night; narcolepsy?) my entire body is paralyzed. i know i'm awake but i can't move and i'm still dreaming. if i open my eyes, i get terrifying hypnogagic hallucinations, so i always sleep on my stomach to reduce it. seriously the worstQuote:

Sometimes I astral project myself into the locker room of the Dallas cheerleaders.
in Astral Dynamics the dude frames it as a place that can be reached during a conscious out-of-body experience. i'm guessing that meditation and trance are just different ways of separating from the body. he says that sometimes when you're out and you're wandering around your house in the real-time zone you may encounter anomalies, such as a room or an object not being where it usually is, and sometimes you'll even see a door where there isn't supposed to be one. if you see one of these anomalous doors he says that you should just walk through it with the strong intent of ending up at the Akashic Records and that way you'll usually end up there. or you can just zoom upward as fast as you can through the atmosphere with the intent of winding up at the Records and that will probably work too.
it's pretty awesome to think about...a record of all perceptual experience, a fluid pulsating all-encompassing Wikipedia of information...imagine being there and being able to look up anything you want... in the book he says that to us human projectors it appears as a library because that's our earthly interpretation of such a concept; thus he said that in recent times computers have been "added in" to the Records...you simply go in there with the question you are hoping to be answered prominent in your mind and then open the nearest book and you will then find yourself in the midst of the vision...
imagine waking up in your body after that kind of experience-
My brother does lucid dreaming. He says he can do whatever he wants in his dreams. We've talked about it before, but we've never spoken about the spiritual implications of it. We're going to discuss it next time I see him.
As far as astral projection, I've been contemplating morality so much lately, this sounds like something that could be a missing link between what we understand as life and death. I'm going to have to do the knowledge.
without a doubt...its like preparation for the next phase...if you can start doing it on a normal basis you'll probably be cured of any fear of death you may have had and the biggest mystery for the human race won't be a mystery to you at all...it seems like lucid dreaming and astral projection go hand in hand. they both require a similar skill set...being able to negotiate consciousness in a nonmaterial context...
Astral Projection is real. There is no debate. It is easy for a plutonian to claim it doesn't exist due to the fact they haven't been able to achieve it or they simply would prefer to remain in the lower densities of the nature of man.
All those who disagree should get Tiger Swiped. Sliced up like apple segments.
...welcome to the forums, smith
@Urban and Ballistic, I read your posts and repped you guys accordingly, although my rep to Urban was halted by the message that I had to spread my rep ability before submitting another one to you. And peace for all others who are dropping their thoughts.
I wish I had time to write something but I am so tired and I am off to work early in the morn. I'll try and drop a thought or two later.
hey good looks on linking me up to that corresponding topic on duality, Rai-
Having just gone through shakespearean literature in school i was actually thinking about this stuff. I'm not sure I agree though. I'm still undecided.
I'm pretty sure that death is death and that we're useless corporeals with no life purpose. However I do have a 10% of doubt which is of a divine soul and an animal avatar. I think much of human problems would come from our misbelief that we are the animal shell when we are not. People spend too much time feeding their body and base desires instead of their mental.
So not really wanting to read everything written in this thread, has anyone had legitimate astral projections? I've had low level psychic experiences like de ja vu, but I've never been able to do it intentionally or project.
Also, Akashic records? Isn't that a lovecraftian plot device?
